Best choice of armour for battle mage?

Post » Thu Dec 08, 2011 10:12 am

I'm confused, I've put a few points in heavy and light, and made a [censored] up with my build as a result,

Because I can't decide I've gone for both, and use light armour chest and everything else heavy.

Any tips?

If I were you I would stick to one armor from now on. If I would choose, I would go for heavy.

I don't recommend mixing heavy and light, but that's really all the advice I have at this point.

defintly not heavy - cas its slows you down on low lvls and u cant run faster then some npcs

You play warrior/mage in robes if u can heal alot,or use conjuration

Heavy armour is a good choice BUT you might have problems with going for full heavy armor, my spellsword (before I accidently saved over him) had full plate armor but I ditched the helmet for a mage hood.

I lack common sense with these games lol

Thanks for advice. Incidentally, why is heavy armour better? Better perks or just so I'm not a weakling?

You're welcome!

But to answer your question: Heavy Armor is so much better than a robe, don't you think?

Haha yeah of course, I just wondered if the perks in heavy armour are more suitable for this role was all :)

Only the armour effectivness boosters are worth choosing and maybe the hand-to-hand perk are worth getting but aside from that just stick to using your perk points for magic.

I wouldnt go with any armor. Use Alteration instead. If you have to have armor then I guess Heavy would more most sense for a Battlemage.
