Best choices for Blades recruits? : V - Skyrim

I brought Annekke, Illia, and Erik the Slayer to be inducted into the Blades. I also considered Kharjo or Ahtar, but felt that Ahtar wasn't honourable enough, and it was far safer for the Khajiit caravans to stick together, so I left Kharjo there as well.

When you had Illia join, is she able to be hired / rehired as a follower or does she still have the bug?

I used hired followers that otherwise never move from their spots in the game and are not essential for anything in the game.

For instance, Jennessa who hangs out in the Drunken Huntsman in Whiterun. She never leaves the building. Ever.

Most of the inns have a follower you can hire that are otherwise useless and never move from their locations.
