How can we give you a class when we don't even know all the weapons yet ?!

Or maybe you meant a kind of weapon.

Well there are four classes. Operative, Engineer, Medic, and Soldier.

What other specs are you referring too?

Also the weapon list is relatively well known.

Yeah, there are only 4 classes, and SD will work hard to balance them, so I doubt there would be a "best". If i had to give an answer, i would say that the operative is probably the least needed, but only because the other 3 (Soldier, Engineer, Medic) are required for a good team dynamic; pushing, defending, healing, and buffing. The operative is mainly a support class, working behind enemy lines, and will probably be very helpful but not completely needed outside of completing operative missions. That being said, a good operative could probably turn a match around all on his own.

If instead you were talking about class builds, there's still so much mystery surrounding the skills that its basically impossible to give any real response. Is a totally offensive medic a viable class? who knows. Can a engineer focus all his skill points into turrets, or would he be better off being a jack of all trades? Without detailed skill lists its all just guessing.

The last possible tangent I can think of would be discussing team combinations of the classes, or bodytype combinations with the classes, but both of these topics have been beaten into the ground already; I could probably link you to a half dozen such topics if you're interested and cant find them.

I think you guys are getting too caught up in the technicalities. Im pretty sure he means, what bodytype/weapon configuration/loadout will you prefer? Or think you will do the best at?

In that case, there aren't many details about weapons, and what we do know could easily be changed. I can tell you the names of a few of the weapons, show you their stats from the alpha build, even give you the names of what most of the guns are based off of, but there's not much known about their gameplay. So you would have to just make generalizations like "Medium Soldier/shotgun/short rifle" or "Heavy Medic/LMG/Grenade Launcher", but again, this topic has been beaten into the ground.

I think this is another random, yet unnecessary thread.

Operative/Heavy/GMG/GL
Step one; blow stuf to smithereens, step two; interrogate.

But yeah 'best class setup' is, for one, dependant on the person playing, and two, on the stats of the weapons.
Silliest class setups might work, but not best. We simply don't know yet, nor ever will we, because best class setup is something of personal perferrence.
