Best console to run Skyrim on?

I like the PC version because I like mods. But if mods do not interest you, you might want to consider one of the other platforms.

Just so you know, about 60% of people on X-Box run it at 1080p. Just buy a HDMI cable for 5$ like I did. I played Black-Ops with my new TV, and it was soo old looking I went and bought an HDMI. And also, X-Box is capable of running mods too, explain the Prestige 10s on Modern Warfare.

That's accomplished via upscaling. The games are still rendered at 720p or lower (Black Ops, for example, is rendered at 1040x608 on the 360).

I've never understood any point of this debate that revolves around what sort of screen you use - I've only ever played games on a PC, but there's this magical thing called an HDMI cable that costs around £5 and I can plug one end into a socket on my graphics card and the other end into socket on the TV, and bingo I can play games in high resolution on my widescreen TV (and watch streamed video etc on the TV too). PC gamers are not restricted to a small monitor.

That would defeat the point of what I said made it immersive even further. It's more immersive BECAUSE I'm using a PC monitor. A TV has a far lower pixel density, and your farther away, leaving the TV to fill less of your view. Even if you have a massive TV, it would look worse than a PC monitor because of the pixel density.

Pixel density matters little when you're sitting far away from the screen.

Sure, you move farther away, and the pixels blend into a nice image eventually, but then you are very far away from your TV, and it looks worse. Ergo, my whole point... Unless you have a giant TV that scales to that of a computer screen. I'm sitting about a foot away from my 21" monitor, so to fill the same amount of view, from 10 ft away from a TV, you would need a 210" TV...

I agree with you, but it's really too subjective to be used as a point either way.

I sit a foot away from my 32" TV, with 1080p res.
I know it's bad for my eyesight, but I've had bad eyesight for all I can remember so it doesn't make a difference.
My opinions on gaming-

PS3- A lot of casuals and people who watch Blue-Rays. Not a very big hardcoe fanbase.
X-Box- Gamers are more serious than PS3 most of the time, and games tend to run a bit faster without lag. The only advantage PS3 has over X-Box is free MP, and slightly better shaders. But then there is the 1 month outage, and the 'Brick Day'.

PC- It's either a bad computer or a top-notch computer from what I've been through. PC is capable of tthe best graphics, but most of the time PC graphic 'Enhancers' only turn up the brightness and define edges a bit more. I would say though that PC wins when it comes to games like Skyrim.

PC - Big single player games with nice graphics.
X-Box - Great multiplayer, runs games as good (Or almost) as a PC
PS3 - 50-50 with everything. Okay multi, okay graphics etc...

But that's my point. Sure you can sit a foot away, but the pixels are the bloody size of golf balls. On my monitor, I cannot clearly make out indevidual pixels until I am about 4-5" away. On most tv's you can clearly see the pixels from like 2-3' away. Sitting 1 foot away from a monitor gives you a far sharper, better looking image...

Anyway, that's why I find PC more immersive. Then again I've also been a PC gamer all my life, and a keyboard and mouse are literally an extension of my arms. When I play a game and get immersed, I may not so much as move a single muscle outside of my wrists, hands and eyes except to breath, for hours on end. I've woken up before, 10 am, and started playing, only to suddenly snap out of it 6 hours later and not have moved once during it. Some people say I have problems, I say I enjoy a good game. :P

Depends what monitor you have, don't assume we all have recent ones, mine is a 15" low-res LCD (one of the earliest LCD monitors released!), but since I have a good HDTV there is no need to rush out and buy a monitor for gaming. I use the monitor for browsing the web and the TV for gaming and media. And who says it's a long way away, it's mounted on the wall between the 2 PC monitors.

Well then of course there is this. But that goes side-in-side with whether or not your PC is good. For the most part. Obviously it's subjective. Yes, if you have a 10 year old CTR, a TV would look far better. But if you have a 10 year old Windows 98, the graphics will look better. This is of course assuming you have a rather recent monitor, and pc hardware.
