Best fit for an aspiring Ordinator?

Hey guys, wanted to drop in an ask a Question on picking a class.

Right now joining the Great Houses of Morrowind isn't doable at launch according to the ESO main site, but I'd like to play a class that would iconically and lore-wise fit the mold of a tanky Ordinator or servant of the Tribunal.

I'm sure most people who are gravitating to servants of the Tribunal are looking at the Templar class as viable, but with the skill line of Aedric Spear, it seems a bit off for me to choose that class, considering the Temple sees the Tribunal as the Anticipations of the three "Good" Daedra.

I've been thinking that a tanky Sorcerer might fit the bill, considering the use of Destruction magics and acceptance of some Daedra use but I really wanted to get the opinions of the guys here who really know their lore. Any suggestions?

Just pretend "Aedric Spear" is "Ayem's Spear" and everything works out great (I'd say "Vivec's Spear", but that name has unfortunate connotations.)

I think Templar is absolutely your best choice. Wear heavy armor and go with a Sword and Board or Two Hander.

Sorc would also work though I suppose. Ordinators cast Destruction spells in Morrowind and the Tribunal are linked to their Anticipations (who are Daedra.)

I was thinking about that, too, and Templar really seems like the best choice. Although Dragonknight and Sorcerer have fitting skill lines, too.

The http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Ordinator_%28class%29#Ordinator in Morrowind focused on 1h weapon (blunt and longsword) + shield, so that would be your best choice for equipment, along with medium or heavy armor. For magic, destruction and restoration spells should complete your playstyle.

Although they are associated with Akaviri magic, Dragonknight abilities are mostly destructive, I'd say. If you can think of a reason why your character would learn magic from his enemies, fire spells would work great with Dunmer passives.

The Sorcerer's lightning magic line is a good choice for destruction as well. Daedric Summoning and Dark Magic could work for Ordinators because of their reverence for the Anticipations.

Nightblade is the only class I can't see working that great for Ordinators, but you should be able to make a reasonable one out of the other 3 classes. I think it depends on the role you want to play. :)

It sounds like a copout but this is honsetly the answer to every "how should I build my character" thread. In order to get an answer, people need to tell you what the role they want to play in combat is, what their roleplaying reasons are, what race they'll be, what equipment the prefer, and any number of other things.

The class system is just that open.
