Best format to record demos?

What is the best format to "record demos" in? I was trying to record a hacker today and was using MSi AfterBurner, next thing I know the demo is 878 mb in size (lol?). I had my video settings @:

Frame Size: 1/3 frame (other options: 1/4, 1/2, or full frame)
Video Format: MJPG compression (other options: RTV1 compression, or uncompressed)
Quality: 100% (other options: 0% to 100% - slide indicator)
Frame rate: 40 fps (other options: 0 fps to 100 fps)
Multithreaded optimization: automatic (other options: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, or 8 compressed threads, disabled)

I imagine the "video format", "frame size", and "quality" levels play the biggest part in the outcome of the size of the video? I can't remember what the best settings are that make the demo video a managable size?
