Best found light armor in-game?

Post » Mon Dec 12, 2011 12:34 pm

What is the best light armor I can find "in-game" that I DON'T have to craft?

Can I possibly find light dragon armor? Or daedric armor? Or do these "have" to be crafted?

Apparently you can find any armor that is crafted in the game world as well, depeding on your player level.

218 hours in and not a single piece of dragon-scale armor as loot. people have claimed to get is as a drop though.

aside from quest reward specific light armor, I'd have to say Glass is probably the best that will be found as loot/bought at merch.

You can find everything. Just not reasonably. There's rare instances of people finding dragon____ armor. And I do mean rare.

Glass is relatively common. I actually find tons more ebony. But glass is for sale enough.

I'm level 49 and I have yet to find any pieces of dragonscale so I'm not sure how much I would count on finding an entire set of dragonscale (best light armor in the game).

The Nightingale set is pretty awesome. I especially like the +25% to 1h damage on the gloves, which works regardless of if you're in stealth or not.

The best light armor is Daedric with the Conditioning perk.

You can find Dragonscale armor but it's about as rare as Daedric. Generally you have a chance of finding it in those big ol' fancy chests at the end of dungeons.

Oh, I didn't know that, neat. Guess I wont have to spend like 5 perks on smithing and can just raid every dungeon I find instead.

What svcks about dragonscale/daedric is that all of them I've found have been enchanted. Because the same numbers used to allow very high level armor to spawn also make probable that it is enchanted it'll be very rare to find an unenchanted daedric/dragonscale item.

Daedric and Dragon are so rare that by level 63 I found a Daedric Axe and a pair of Dragonplate boots.

good luck. I'm sitting at level 65, 218 hours in and have yet to see it as loot. I can craft an awesome set of it however. Did I, no.

I like it when things are extremely rare, it pleases the part of me that's completely insane.

Oddly enough those are the exact 2 high level pieces I've found. And some daedric arrows.

You can find dragonscale armor as loot, but the nightingale armor from the thieves quest is also very good. Also the thieves side quests will get you guild master armor IIRC, which has a higher rating than both armors mentioned previously.

It's all pretty much random and luck based, also the lockpicking perk that gives you a +50% chance to find a special item helps, I've found dragon scale chestpiece in a cave at lvl 18

How did people miss this brilliant comment? Heavy Armour indeed becomes Light Armour with that perk.

Problem with that is many people just head straight for smithing and bam they have the best equipment in the game asap with little effort required... If people want good equipment, almost every character build is almost forced into going smithing, or goodbye best gear. svcks =(

The best light armor I've come across so far is a quest reward. Doing the quest chain for the Thieves Guild. Nightingale Armor rocks.

guild master armour is beter than dragonscale? AR wise?
and due to some of it's bonus's being "locked" into theivery we probably wana go with Dragon anyway due to "matching set" for dragonscale with enchants we actualy want.
