Best game ever made

Post » Fri Feb 26, 2016 9:02 pm

It's difficult for me to stay with a single Bethesda game, in my opinion the top 10 best games ever are all made by Bethesda. Their order is irrelevant for me because they are still better than every other game out there.

All other games mentioned in this thread svck balls in several areas:

First Doom is outdated it feels old and cluncky, its gunplay is [censored], you can't even aim upwards, actually can't even aim at all. It's been greatly surpassed, and it's overrated by hipsters today, and teens who pretend they know jack[censored] about videogame's history.

Half life: overrated linear corridor [censored].

Half life 2: more overrated than the last, and more linear with even more corridors crap, it's the CoD before CoD became what it is now. At least we got CS thanks to these Valve linear corridors, but CS is also overrated.

New Vegas: boring deserts with boring filler to appear it got more content than it actually does. Pretentious writting trying to be too deep and failing.

Undertale: the most overrated of the bunch, this game was made to milk the pockets of nostalgic preteens who don't even feel nostalgia for a game they never even played. Just like new vegas it tries to be too deep with its writing, and despite being genuinely more deep than New Vegas, it's also rip off of Eearthbound. [censored] crap game, the only good aspect about it is the music, in 10 years nobody will be talking about this [censored], its fan will be too busy funding another hipster game on kickstater that rips off pokemon or something.

These are the 10 best videogames in human history:

Arena, Skyrim, Fallout 3, Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout 4, Daggerfall, Redguard, Fallout shelter. With all the DLCs and modded versions. :tops:

No way lol. Fallout 1 & 2 are better games imo. It's a good game, but no where near the best ever -- that would go to Morrowind and then Fallout 2 then Baldur's Gate. ;) Maybe Arcanum somewhere in there...

I'm still loving it. A massive jump from Fallout 3.

I played both Borderlands 1 & 2, enjoyed both. However, the cartoon graphics proved to be (for me) an immersion breaker.

Uh, no. The actual truth is that "The best game ever" doesn't and will never exist. The quality of a game is subjective (Unless it's a game that's almost universally hated and despised by everyone) which means that saying X game is the best game ever is like saying x song is the best song ever.....you can't.

Should start a new thread for Best GOTY! I know my kids would never think Doom was that great, but for it's time, awesome!

lol what? Do we really have to put before and after every sentence? For real c'mon dude, that is simply ridiculous. Morrowind is the best game ever. Obviously, and I really mean that, obviously, that is my opinion. lol

Still GTA3 for me--3 separate cities, jetliners, go-carts, dual wielding guns, girlfriends, RPG elements...What a jetpack!! Big rig trucks, too, seriously. Dancing... That game is ridiculously packed. More than 2 radio stations with licensed music from the 90s.

But Assassins Creed Pirates was really cool for me.. Im big into sailing though.

Im super addicted to this game. The companions are incredible, but outside of settlements the quests are 98% go there, shoot that. Just too repetitive. Too much time dpent in inventory screens (the way I play). Great great game though, the settler economy system is impressive in an First Person game.

Excellent game, might have to fire that up again. Personally, I think Half-Life 2 was much better.

This game, this game is 'mazin. Definitely my favorite, though probably due to being my first. It's one of the best Fallout games, right next to 2 and 3.

red faction guerrilla, definitely one of the best. if it was only more populated with destructible buildings, people and quests then it would've been a contender for #1.

A lot of good titles out there for sure.

I think the game I was most emotionally involved because it was so well made.. is Mass Effect series.

Yeah, the ending svcked bad... but both single play & multi-play brought me unforgettable experience and fun.

I will always remember my comrades from mass effect series more human and close.. compared to the ones I met in any FO series.

...except for FO4 dogmeat.

I think Mass Effect deserves being mentioned here. lol

I'd actually love to see those graphics in the next Elder Scrolls :D

they're 'timeless', have a very unique own style and take away the 'it has to look as realistic as possible' approach of today's games

Right, so, as others have said, there is no such thing, objectively, as the "best" -- however, I think I've got to be coming up on more hours in F4 than in any other game already, and I've played the hell out of Morrowind, Oblivion, F3, NV and Skyrim. I also don't play many other games (I have my reasons), so it's not like those titles are competing with too much (the GTA series, and a few others), but still. Each new Bethesda RPG, in either of the two main series, just keep getting better, IMHO. It's like they know me almost as well as I know myself. :goodjob:

*Looks up from playing my way through the S.T.A.L.K.E.R series*

Uh huh yeah sure. Best game ever made? Mate its not even the best game I've ever played let alone the best game ever made.

Besides, isn't that subjective? What one person thinks makes the bestest game in the whole wide world might not be the same as someone else. I've heard people talking about how HALO is the greatest game in existence (these guys are usually pretty good to get riled up by talk of how great Mass Effect is), others go on about those interchangeable modern military first person shooters, personally I absolutely love the Baldurs Gate series.

I think I like Skyrim better, to be honest. Its all such a close race between all of Bethesda's games for me, and I do have my love of various 90s FPS and some grand strategy games, even if the only thing out of those genres to grab me anywhere near as much as Bethesda has been classic doom.

It's impossible to declare 'the best game ever' until you play every game ever made. However, FO4 is the best game I've ever played.
