I like it better than Morrowind, and Morrowind was previously my favorite game of all time, so using that logic, I'd have to say that in my opinion, Skyrim is the greatest game ever.

1. Skyrim 2. Morrowind 3. Oblivion 4. Fallout 3 and then every other game out there.

In the dozens and dozens of complaint and negativity threads that plague this forum.

Best in breed is what I'll give it. How do you compare Skyrim and Sim City, say?

Not the best EVER.
But the best game i've played to date.

I bought it release day and steam says 6 hours played so far, about 4 of which were trying to get the darn thing working properly.

Maybe when its actually in a useable state regarding high spec PCs and doesn't crash, have purple textures, horrible mouse lag, unuseable interface (for mouse keys user), flickering textures and sound thats louder when its not directly in front of me then I'll play it a bit more and find out.

From the little I have seen of it I'd say when properly fixed (if that ever happens) and modded up a bit its going to be pretty good, but probably still only somewhere in my top 7 - 15 ish.

My exact thoughts. Usually games get really bashed in their related forums, may It be because of people who have nothing to do but come and tell everyone how awful the game is for them and why we should feel ashamed. And don't get me started on nostalgia stuff. Anyway, that's not a TES exclusive thing, anywhere you might look you'll find people trying to get everyone's attention by demonstrating how intelligent and well read they are.


Well, It's actually hard to determine wether or not It's your favorite game, It's true. Anyway, is there any other game that you clearly prefer over this one? If the answer is no, then you can consider It t be one of your favorites.

It's my favorite one to play right now, but it doesn't feel like it's gonna stay that way over the next couple years.

This game is great, specially when you read the lore, understand the gods, knows the story...
You feel like you're inside of this world. It's a shame that some people don't know the story.
Alduin is not everything this game has to offer story-wise.

It's in my Top 5.

It could be best game ever... Just fix some bugs, and focus a little bit more on character development (NPC's and companions).
And the game has to follow the lore more... If the lore says X, the game should be X, not Y.
A popular exemple: Werebears.

It's probably the best game I've ever played, and one of my top 5 favorites. My list would go something like: Chrono Trigger #1, Morrowind/Skyrim/Final Fantasy 7 #2.

After Morrowind,this is my second favorite game ever. And with all the future mods for PC coming it will be epic. Can't imagine playing an elder scrolls game on a console. PC replay alone will be awesome.

I have my PC game on hold with no patch until we get a new one this week so I started a PS3 game and have hit Level 14. Today I had a backward-flying dragon and it was impossible to fight him so I went around doing other quests. I had a drinking contest at a tavern and I'm still having a great time. It could easily be my best game of all time. I know the bugginess will be fixed and I'll be playing for years. I'm not worried about the bugs that showed up right after release on such a huge game. It was expected and I knew I'd be dealing with it. Thanks for an awesome game, Bethesda.
