Best Initial Victim?

Post » Tue Dec 21, 2010 9:50 pm

I know everyone likes the dark brotherhood. But since you need to commit murder to join, it brings questions to my mind. Who should be murdered? Its easy to just go into a busy town and whack a beggar, but who really deserves it? I encourage all posters to show me their ideal murder victim.

Mine was Alessia Ottus in the temple district. I got the idea after reading that guide to the imperial city. I wont write a novel about it, just read the guide and it explains why i brained her with my mace and fed her husband to a daedroth. A while later i ran into another relative of hers, but i couldn't find his house so i nuked him with a fireball in public. Losing two levels of alteration in jail was worth it. Lucien was pleased.

post a reply and let me know which NPC should be murdered.

There are two that I usually go with

One would be Glarthir.

The other can't be mentioned in the General forum. But here's a hint, killing him under normal circumstances is not considered a murder.

There's a topic about something really similar to this http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1143784-a-knife-in-the-dark-best-way-to-kill-someone/. :)

Anyway, Lyra Rosentia in Bruma and Wretched Aia the beggar in Bravil get it. Always. I don't know why, but those two characters in particular really tick me off. :P

I tend to put an arrow through the guy in Weye (forget his name). He's easy to sneak attack, and goes down with one arrow. No bounty ftw. I know I miss out on a quest this way, but come on, how many assassins would do that quest anyway?

This exact same topic is being discussed in another thread, that's in the first page.

Let's use that thread for this discussion please. :)

edit: OP claims it's different and I'm giving him a chance to make it so by reopening. If it becomes more the same, I'll relock and refer back to the original thread. :)

Edit: Since the mods are giving the thread another chance, I have no reason to doubt them. :)

So you ask who deserves to die? There are some cruel characters, such as Toutius sixtius and Lazare Milvan(sp?) in Skingrad. I personally hate Toutius, and all my characters do too.

Then there's this Dark Elf in Bravil (I think he visits Skingrad too) who I forget the name of, but he says "Go away or I'll turn your bones to ash" or something everytime you speak to him. Then there's Dorian in the Imperial City, and this Orc in Cheydinhaal who thinks you're a fly.

There are a few I go after, mainly due to their attitudes:

1. Lazare Milvan in Skingrad (watch your tongue, Lazare, or I'll cut off your "noble" head and shove it up your "high born" rear!).
2. Alval Uvani (try turning my bones to ash while you're a rotting corpse, you stuck up N'Wah!).
3. The Orum Gang in Cheydinhal (I may be a fly, but what happens when my eggs hatch after I lay them in your sinus cavity?).

Earana, from the Chorrol Mages Guild recommendation.

She violated The Buffy Doctrine: If you are kind to me, I will love you dearly; if you are mean to me or my friends, I will likely kill you.

Lesson: Be kind to wood elves. :P

Apart from the Annoying Fan, I honestly cannot think of a more deserving recipient for early inhumation than the Cheydinhal Orc, Dulfish gro-Orum, due to his description of the PC as being merely a fly to be swatted out of the way and treated with the utmost contempt and ignore.

I usually go after Allessia Ottus, or the Plotius family. I play a somewhat nationalist Khajiit, so I can't let them go and insult my homeland like that, right? It usually ends with me running to Armand with guards trailing behind me, but it's worth it. No stealth kills. I want them to know it was me. Also, if I feel like joining in my late game, I go after Lady Caro for being racist against Argonians, as my character also has an affinity for them. I'm based mostly out of Niben Bay/Bruma/Black Wood, so I don't interact with other NPCs enough to warrant removing them from the world due to them angering me that much. In general on my alts, I seem to target chapel-goers. Not sure what that says about me...
