"Best" landmass mod?

Post » Sun Jun 20, 2010 7:20 am

Hello all I was wondering if there is a landmass mod that has plenty of quests and "well" designed as in not trees here and then flat land with nothing on it but the

path and some grass for miles than some trees and maybe a bandit then it repeats.

I don't care if it isn't compatible with Tamriel rebuilt Map one or two but please tell me if it does have any compatibility issues and I also want to be able to go

there and back freely and one last thing I want is to be able to go there without having to be a high level.

Thank you to anyone who would help me out on this!

Cool thank you I looked at Arktwend of Sureai's team and wasn't to interested due to only 2 things one it overwrites you INI file and I have mine set up how I like it and two it is not completly finished with the translation.

I Googled this Kelandaar and can't find it can you by chance post a link?

And the White wolf of lokken mountain can you post a link for an english version if there is one I read on it and it sounds really cool!

You could always just back up your Data Files folder and your MW ini file before you install the mod...

Arktwend is a frickin' awesome mod. I definitely recommend playing it.

or you could do what is suggested and...........making a new morrowind folder to play on, and then install it, which means: you get your own game for aktwend, keep your own ini on your other game, the textures dont overide the other ones you have etc etc etc,

just look at the sticky in this forum :goodjob:

I've been playing Havish, but haven't finished it yet. The landmass itself isn't all that unique, basically similar to Bloodmoon, but the quests are great and the two dungeons I've done so far were satisfying. I think it conflicts with TR even though the main landmass is on the other side of the map, but might be a compatibility patch for that floating around somewhere out there. If you search Havish on ES Search, there are some other patches, including one that makes it more forested.

Edit: As to your requirement of going back and forth freely, you need to go there first through a choice of initial quests, but after that you are free to go back and forth.

Nice thank you every one so far and about the Arktwens thing is there a complete English version out yet?

That mod the White Wolf of lokken mountain is fantastic I would definitely recommend it the only issue i am having is that I keep on dying because I am level 1 lol just started playing Morrowind again recently and I prefer to power level (x5 x5 x5)

Is Havish doable at level 1 maybe not completely but are you at least able to go and do things?

Thank you all anyone have more?

Liligue is another great landmass mod with many things to explore and two main towns. Like a broken record I will third, fourth, and fifth The White Wolf of Lokken Mountain Mod. It is just awesome.

If you ever want desolate, try the much older Morningstar Islands. It almost felt like trying to walk on Antartica. There were just these flat, white, expanses of frost land that led to the desolate shorelines. The beauty is that if you have Abot's Fish mod, you get to see Killer Whales, dolphin, penguins, and other fauna skimming the surface as you reach what feels like the ends of the world.

Isenguard was a great Lord of the Rings mod with a huge landmass. But sadly, with the end of it, you have Isenguard tower, but all this beautiful wooded land with not so much as a bird or deer on it. Once, on a goof, I populated it which tooks weeks using the furniture from Kilgore's furniture mods and gathered almost every companion share companion I could find on Vvardenfell, to turn that huge landmass (almost the size of Liligue) into a huge merchant island.

Kalendaar is the BIG french mod. => http://morromods.wiwiland.net/spip.php?article685

"Kalendaar in figures, it is a complete island whose size exceeds the 3/5 of Vvardenfell; tens of populated cities, villages animated, all broader than those of Morrowind; lugubrious caves, deep mines, daedric ruins, imperial forts, and as many worrying crypts, labyrinths generated by random, mazes of inextricable corridors from which one does not see coming the end?

Kalendaar, they is also guilds and new factions, more than 1200 new scripts, more than 2000 PNJs, a ton of dialogues; they is still four principal and complex quests, of the secondary quests with abundance, of which "excellent bargains" to appease the thirst for the most avid adventurers; Kalendaar, these is still an intelligent MOD which adapts its difficulty to the level of your player?

But Kalendaar it is above all: a deeply original universe, a wink with Daggerfall, a vast and mysterious island from which you will have patiently to bore the secrecy.
They are hundreds of hours of play in prospect, a titanic challenge, traps and new difficulties which will often oblige you to leave your sword in its sleeve for better digging your meninges?
In Kalendaar, nobody will say to you where to go nor what to make.
Intelligence and Patience will be your best partners."

p.s : it's a translation by the translator online: Systran.

it is translated besides on this forum, the translator posted the bond to download its translation!!!! :foodndrink: => http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1084633-french-to-english-doing-the-impossible/page__view__findpost__p__15849717

This is it:
http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=29239
And you might want to try this too:
http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=28293

You do not have to overwrite your Morrowind.ini, Just install a copy of Morrowind in a new location (recommended that it be outside of Program Files), and install Arktwend on the copy.

Readme suggests 5+. I'm betting you can manage to get there and start some quests before that though.

There was a previous http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1047679-errors/page__st__40__p__15257619&#entry15257619 that I mistook for being a Havish/TR conflict, so I put a not in mlox about it. Further discussion http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1047679-errors/page__st__40__p__15257619&#entry15257619.

So as it stands, I'm not aware of a conflict there, but if anyone finds one, let me know!

You can move your Save files somewhere while you re-install, and then put them back in their folder and they will work again.
You'll want to update them with Wrye Mash if you're using mods.

Good landmasses to check out:
Wizards' Islands
Annastia
Lothavar's Legacy
Sea of Destiny
Havish
Ald Vendras (only has a few quests)

Not really. I think you want to be at least 10th level but probably closer to 15th is best.
