Best Mods for a WinterSnowy Skyrim

Post » Thu Nov 07, 2013 3:44 am

With the winter fast approaching, I'm looking at doing a clean install of Skyrim and modding it out to reflect the snowy weather. I've got tons of mods now, but none of them specifically geared toward making the game look any colder. I've used various summer mods to make Skyrim look more verdant, but never any to make it colder.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? I'd like to avoid using Climates of Tamriel, as it's been problematic for me in the past even with ENBs designed for it. But if that's the best way of tackling it, so be it. I've searched and can't really find any mods that suit what I'm looking for. There are plenty of snow mods, which might be a good start.

If you search snow on the nexus and search by endorsemants and downloads there are tons of good options.

Personally, I use the mod that adds foot steps in the snow. It even adds dynamic animal tracks, and little tufts of snow poof up on contact.
