Best moment so far?

Post » Thu Nov 26, 2015 5:16 pm

Obviously this will contain spoilers.

So about 5 hours in and I'm loving it.

Played fo3 and NV so I'm pretty used to fallout concepts. Must say I'm very impressed with the direction.

Top moment so far.

Ghouls. The transition from walking dead to world war z scared the absolute sh*t outta me.

Bravo Beth bravo..

I couldn't agree more ! The way they suddenly lunge and start to frantically run at you is amazing & pretty terrifying !

I like what they did with the feral ghouls as well, although other than that what stands out to me is how well the mine traps are. In FO3 and NV the way they were placed you could plainly see them before tripping them off. out of the 6 times I have died so far four times has been to unexpected land mines in short grass or just at the top of a flight of stairs.

My favourite moment so far is when I was fighting a band of Raiders on a mission for Garvey and I was being overpowered, so I used Psycho for the first time in this game. Pumped myself a few Stimpaks too, put on a pair of knuckledusters and hearing my character scream in rage before grabbing the nearest raider and choking her to death in a headlock would have to be one of my favourite moments I've had in a video game ever.

Created account just so I can say this. My best moment so far is at the end of the brotherhood of steel mission, where I got to press the big red button to burn all those synth and paladin, muhahahahaha, just one little finger twitch and everyone dies, ***evil giggle****, too bad the paladin survived though, I thought I could've got another power armor ;)

I LOVE THIS GAME!!!

I did not think the Fallout 3 opening and Tutorial section would be beat by this game and it was, especially the exiting since a Rad storm was just about to hit when I exited and then I had to look for shelter.

Looking right at a nuclear detonation as I was about to enter the vault without my eyes melting out of their sockets.

Just experienced it (so far anyway).

Spoiler
After Kellogg surrenders I don't even let his ass explain. I drop his synths and fill his cranium full of lead with the first pistol I found in Vault 111 aptly named Nora after the Man Out of Time's late wife. So after getting the intel I needed about Shaun on Kellogg's terminal I head outside to rendezvous with Valentine about my findings. Then in all the epic glorious badasserry of badassness the Brotherhood of Steel appears flying over head in a giant zeppelin with vertbirds pushing off ready to [censored] the Institute's [censored] up to the awesome main theme!!

So yeah. This game is doing it for me.

I was in the Corvega plant, using stealth with a suppressed highly modified pistol. I'd taken out maybe 80% of the raiders with none of them even being aware of my presence, when suddenly...

One of the female raiders sights me and opens fire, but i didn't even know where she was. I ran through a doorway, part way down a flight of stairs when two guys ran out of a side door below me. I leaped over the sidde of the stairs, and while I was in mid-air the raider who had originlly spotted me apparently threw a grenade.

So, in mid air, it seemed like the whole world was exploding all around me, I landed and took out the two guys in VATS with head shots, which earned me a kill cam while the explosions and fires were still going strong. I had a sliver of health left after the kill cam was done so I immediately took a couple of stimpacks just in time to greet two more raiders who came from a back stairwell.

I survived without a death, and exciting just doesn't describe it properly, eh? :D

You bring the guns and I'll bring the muscle bro!!
Lol :)

My best moment so far was helping a guy turn on five turrets in salem town and fending off a horde of mirlurks, mirlurk hunters and one mirelirk king(who single handedly destroyed all the turrets with that sonic crap!)
and the entire battle lasted longer then 24 in game hours and about 2 to 3 hours in real time. After a few years have passed this will be one of the experiances I'll remember.

Too many good moments, I can tell you my worst moment. I walked into some random unmarked cabin, thought there might be some loot around, when out of nowhere a Radscorpion jumps up from out of the ground. Needless to say, I had to get some clean underwear.

Tons of them, but I really enjoyed my visit to an old folks home earlier today.

I was greeted by a Mr. Handy and a few of his pals who were still operating, and after explaining that I was simply there to visit my grandmother they kindly invited me in. The whole building was void of enemies but there were keys to multiple safes you could hunt down containing medical supplies. While doing so I hear the greeter downstairs say "Oh hello, more visitors!", seconds later he gets blasted away by a group of synths who then start going room to room searching for survivors. Very unexpected lol.

My best moment so far was getting my first power armor with mini gun and going toe to toe with a deathclaw.

Best for me so far was in the lowest level of the mayor's fallout shelter. I tricked a group of synths into following me into a deathclaw's lair. I ducked out while they were getting acquainted and dropped a couple bottlecap mines along the way. There's a door you can close - I invited (with a 10mm) the now-injured deathclaw to chase me through the door. I shut it, of course, but the blast from the mines actually made them bow in. The 'claw lost his head. The synths looked like a junk heap. I was totally uninjured.

It was my first Fallout moment in F4.

I was walking down that tunnel, heard the growl, go further and see the death claw drop from the ceiling. Didnt even hesitate to turn and run. Biggest "Nope" moment yet.

For me, it was the fight for the castle against the institute near the end of a story... that was freaking epic! especially at survival

Best moment for me in the game

was when I was with the Institute and they told me to terminate the Railroad.

Now, the Railroad were the guys who got me into the Institute in the first place.

Bunch of friendly folks, and I enjoyed my time with Tinker Tom who was so funny.

At first, I was conflicted, but I convinced myself, that I would do anything for my son.

In the end, I hardened my heart, walked into the Railroad HQ, and without saying a word,

proceeded to blow off everyone's heads.

I FELT LIKE THE FRICKING TERMINATOR!!!

The irony was not lost on me, when I felt more Synth then Human.

I did the MOST inhuman thing by committing murder in cold blood, yet all this was

to support a most basic Human feeling of supporting my own child.

Of course...after the massacre...I imagine my character to break down and cry...

He looked at his hands....and reminds himself...."I do all this...for my son...."
