Best non-legionary armor for an Imperial?

Post » Thu Mar 21, 2013 3:19 pm

I've been considering on making an Imperial character. He will be like a light armored paladin

I want light armor as I preferred the old Morrowind days when Nords were Heavy armor specialists and Imperials were light armor specialists. I also want to use a mix of stamina and magicka so light armor has better weight to allow space to carry booty

I was thinking of starting with leather in lower level and moving up to light Dawnguard as I can afford it. I'm thinking of wearing a hood / cowl with the armor to show I am also a spellcaster

What light armor looks the most Imperial which is a legion armor?

The penitus oculatus armor, that's the one I used when I played the civil war on legion's side.

Doesn't the Legion have a Light Armor set?

If you are saying you don't want to use that, why not?

Edit: On second thought, maybe the last line might be a typo or something. Do you mean "Looks the most Imperial that isn't a Legion armor?"

Probably to not look suspicous.

I was gonna say Heavy Dawnguard, but you mentioned you are already using Light DG Armor. Continue using it, it looks best.

But for what I assume to be an Imperial character. you would have to kill a member of the PO. So either join the Dark Brotherhood, or kill the one guard in the PO Outpost in Dragonbridge.

I think my Imperial looks pretty darned good in vampire armor. No, he's not a vampire, nor does he make a habit of hunting them, he just kind of happened upon them one day.

Eventually, he may turn it in for something a bit better, but for now, at level 20, it's the most attractive thing he could find while still being functional enough to provide some form of protection...even if it's only a little bit.

Dragonscale, Penitus Oculatus and Imperial Light Studded Armor, Dawnguard Light Armor (Dark Brown), and Vampire Armor (Royal and Black Armor) are your best choices for an imperial. IMHO
