best one handed weapon type

what is the best class of one handed weapon sword, mace, war axe, dagger, any other im missing in terms of most damage per second

On master difficulty I prefer mace or axe for bleeding and armor penetration. On normal difficulty I prefer swords.

Pfft. Swords. War Axes are only a tiny bit slower and do a lot more damage than one-handed swords.

yeah id say war axe for bleed but all depends on what your fighting.

depends what perk you like the most, I prefer Axe or Mace, there respective perks are to me far better then the sword.

I literally have not even tried anything but a sword an I am 45 hours in haha. Just another reminder how I haven't even scratched the surface of this game.

hard to say, it′s just a way to have a extra edge in a fight, the main damge is still in the swings, I guess it′s useful if you have a very block eager shield guy or a archer who keep trying to get distance bewteen you and him/her, since they keep taking damge when your not beating them.

If it's too low it becomes rather useless though, especially when compared to critical strikes from swords.
