http://www.elderscrolls.com/games/stormhold_overview.htm, http://www.elderscrolls.com/games/dawnstar_overview.htm and http://www.elderscrolls.com/games/oblivionmobile_overview.htm are all rather poor, I don't really suggest you get any device with a focus to play those, even if most non-iPhone phones can because they are java games. And while http://www.elderscrolls.com/games/shadowkey_overview.htm is a good game, it's 5 years old and has aged a bit. And the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/N-Gage is a 6 year old device that is very outdated today (games stopped being released for it years ago), so that's a poor choice even though it can play all the TES Travels games.

You won't be able to play any of these games if you get an iPhone, but it may just be the best choice if you want a gaming phone. The iPhone got other good games like http://www.ravensword.com/, http://www2.gamevil.com/eng_new/iphone.jsp?game=2 and http://www.mobigame.net/.

Plus, if we ever see a new phone TES Travels game, I think it's most likely it will be released for the iPhone, but that's just me speculating.

You're probably right, but as an owner of a T-Mobile G1, I'm kind of hoping they'll do an Android port. iPhone got popular before the Android platform, but recent sales data indicates that Android phones, in aggregate, are now outselling iPhones. It may very well happen that a year from now, there are a lot more Android phones than iPhones. Plus, Android supports a Java-like platform which allows developers to create a 'portable binary' which will run on any Android phone. The flip side of that is that the iPhone uses basically the same family of CPUs on all iPhone models (they are machine-language compatible), so you can create a native binary for an iPhone (which probably gives some performance benefits over a Virtual-Machine system) which will work on all iPhones (but no other phones).

Anyhow, I won't be too heartbroken to not see any TES mobile games any time soon - I'd rather see TES V for PC/XBox/whatever, but if they *can* do a new mobile game in addition to everything else they're working on, that'd be great too.

While Im an Iphone user and support, I happily welcome Android and hope they DO become more popualar and widespread. Because Apple is lazy and restrictive, they need to feel the heat of real competition so they'd change their ways. But I hope if ES Travels comes out, it comes out for both android and iphone

iPhone is your safest bet. Keep mind Bethesda and ID software are partners, and ID is all for the iPhone. I'd say the next Travels has a high chance of coming to Apple.
