Best pre-order bonus ever -_-

Pretty cool that Crysis 1 isn't compatible with Windows 8. Thanks for giving me a worthless pre-order bonus Origin.

You're having that problem too? I thought it was just me.. I tried running it in compatibility mode with xp, vista, and 7, none worked. Gonna try and see if I can get on the line with Origin LiveChat and see if they can fix it up for me.. Cause I really want to play the Crysis 1 campaign (I already have #2 on Steam), so I can play through the first 2 before I start #3 :p

I was forced to upgrade to W8 a month ago, but I did manage to play C1 just fine without changing compatibility settings at all. I don't understand what the issue is. Mind you, I got the digital Steam version. Origin isn't exactly reliable when it comes to repairing installations. they haven't even upgraded the digital version of Mass Effect 2 to its latest patch that came out 3 years ago, I had to download and install it manually.

A) Did you try running it in compatibility mode?

B) Why would you ever downgrade to Windows 8? It is a terrible OS.

I didn't downgrade. I just built my PC a month ago and went with Win8. I actually like it except for the fact I can't play Crysis 1.

Clearly you don't own Windows 8 because it runs much smoother than Windows 7 and uses less resources. Don't bash something till you try it.
