All these posts are pointless. This forum is filled with mostly Argonian and Dunmer fans. More Argonians than Dunmer. If you look at the most popular race though as far as MOST general TES fans are concerned. The most popular is a Dunmer. And a Dunmer thief at that. Everyone voted and well Dunmer thief won. The best though? Doesn't really matter. Everything can be overcome in various ways. IMO the best is the Dunmer. But I am biased. The guy over there? He says Argonians are the best. The girl over there? She likes Khajiits and Bosmer and cannot decide which one is the best in her opinion. It is all opinion.

Dude, no offense but I wouldn't take Facebook as a relevant media for TES fans. I'd rather trust the BGS forums for TES related polls :tops:

There are WAAAY more casual TES fans then there are hardcoe fans buddy. Besides a lot of people voted. Many are just as hardcoe fans as you find here, like me. About 35,000 people voted on it, the race choice alone. And you can't vote twice. 32,000 voted on the class choice as well. It was linked in on Skyrim news. Many people looking for stuff about Skyrim got linked there. I would say it was fairly accurate. Most fans like Dunmer to the best of our knowledge. If it bothers you oh well. Most people here like Argonians. Does not bother me. Argonians came in third after the Nords.

I love argonians, but I'm going to have to go for Bretons. High magic resistance, dragon skin, great mages.

I don't have a facebook so the link doesn't send me anywhere, but I agree there must be more Dark Elf fans worldwide, after all Morrowind is the only game that truly made justice to a race in terms of coherent society and strong sense of culture. Unfortunately Cyrodiil fell short at portraying the Imperials in a memorable way. Anyways the Argonian following is pretty strong considering the fact they didn't have a game set in Black Marsh yet.

Imperials seem to be the upper-class.

Well sorry about the facebook links just providing evidence to support my numbers. Morrowind helped flesh out the other races more so than Oblivion did. Not just the Dunmer lol. The Dunmer definitely got the spotlight though. And MK seems to have a special place in his mind dedicated to them. Most of the lore discussions are about things related to the Dunmer :tongue: . I really wish Oblivion had fleshed out the Imperials more. Hopefully Skyrim does the Nords(my second favorite race) justice.

This is a thread that has a large amount of room for opinions but no actual resolution and therfore a very popular page.
I would suspect this polls creation was made soley for the purpose of giving the pollmaker attention and a sense of worth...not that there's anything wrong with that in itself.

Ultimately this is true of any thread. Just pointing out the obvious really. We humans are creatures of petty temperament and needs. We constantly need a slough of reinforcing compliments or self affirmations or else we get moody and depressed. Success is determined by how we give our selves access to a constant supply of these things. OR I could be completely full of BS. Your choice. LOL

To be honest I wouldn't say there is a best one. And obviously not saying that to be politically correct. Hell they are fictional races. But I find them pretty evenly balanced. They each have their perks and their draw backs.

There is no 'best' race. Everyone just votes for his favourite race, as it should be. If anyone gets upset over this then you need to stop, breathe, and contemplate about life for a while.
