Best scares! : V

So I am laying in bed in the 'office' last night playing with headphones... I am chasing down a giant with my sneaky bow and i get some unwanted attention, so i take off running for my little life before becoming an epic sky flail. and just as i turn around GROWL! a giant freaking sabercat is leaping at my face. needles to say i reloaded but i jumped like a little girl. IT WAS AWESOME!!!

Any one else have other moments of delightful terror?

First time I got chased by a dragon, rofl.

I was running up a mountainside trail, minding my own business, when all of a sudden it came roaring over a peak and scared the crap out of me. I totally panicked and darted into the woods for shelter, while I was panick-tabbing my hotkeys, which resulted in continuous arming/disarming myself. I finally ran into a couple of wolves I could wipe the dragon off on, and I just sprinted for the nearest town like a total wuzz.

Best scare so far for me!

SLASH. HACK. JESUS CHRIST! A wolf jumps at me out of nowhere!

Yeah. I went back to New Vegas.

Anyway, yeah, a wolf jumped out of me from nowhere and scared the crap out of me

Didn't make me jump but it was still scary.

First time I met a Dwarven Centurion. I saw it activate and start walking and I said out loud "Oh [censored]..."

EDIT: Actually...first time I stepped on a swinging spike-wall trap thing in Bleak Falls. *click*::BAM:: "OUCH! WTF WAS THAT!?"

The first time I cleared out a catacomb. I went through the doorway and heard this strange rustling noise. Needless to say I was gripping my controller with the force of 1000 suns. And then BAM! this skeleton pops out of FREAKIN NOWHERE. Oh my god. Easy kill, but holy jesus my heart skipped a beat.

Also currently another scare that got me is the quest to go investigate the apparent haunting and strange lights and noises near a cave or whatever. I'm not gonna be doing that quest for awhile.....as ghosts and stuff freak me out. However, when I decide to do it, guaranteed i'll be playing with the lights on.

First time I saw a Dwarven Centurion get up to attack, I was like "Cool..."

I like the Dwarven stuff, what can I say?

Nothing's particularly scared me in this game, though.

Edit: Although, I did have a jump or two, one from a rune, yeah. Mainly because I'd never used destruction and I had no idea what the heck blew up in my face. Also when I figured out the stuff on the ground was oil and not just my video card going wonky on me. Although after I found that out I went 'Cool' again.

The first time I walked over a lightning rune. I didn't see it because it was partway sunk into the floor, and I didn't know runes were even in the game. The sound of it firing off made me jump and scream at the same time.

When you are in Markarth and you go in to help that guy search that house for daedric worshippers and that creepy music and the voice of Molag Baal scared the piss out of me i ran upstairs so fast and tried to get out just to find the door locked. However that was a very fun quest and the payoff is awesome

Not for Skyrim. Not yet anyways. The only game that ever really made me jump consistently was Duke Nukem 64.

Minecraft is also one of the few games that make me jump consistently, though I cannot explain why.. :mellow:

Edit: I lied. I jumped out of my skin the first time I set off a lightning rune.

Stepped on a lightning rune without knowing it was there. Made me jump.

Unraltedish: Fallout The Pit DLC.. Dealing with those weird crawler ghoul like things... one glitched when I was up high where I could hear it but not see it. SOB comes through a wall at me leaping and yelling. scared me half to death.

Best ever for me was actually in Morrowind.

First time I encountered a vampire I thought he was just a random dude wandering around in this crypt. I walked up behind him to talk and he turned around and screamed at me, shining his flashlight-eyes in my face and I damn near fell out of my chair.

Never trust anything in a crypt. ANYTHING. Ever since the first couple catacombs I've explored, I don't trust any moving thing in them.

Quite the opposite for me. The first Dwemer ruin I explored in Morrowind, I figured it was a dungeon and only evil things were in it... Nope. I just killed another adventurer who would have given me a nice quest if I had assisted him instead of putting an arrow in his back.

In my first visit to Bleak Falls Barrow I stepped on the pressure plate for that swinging metal rack thing and it killed me in 1 hit... Didnt expect it.

I've jumped a couple of times, but the worst one is a funny story.

I was wandering north of Winterhold, going somewhere for the main quest, and I was just casually strolling a long and accidentally walked into a rock. So I go to move around it, and BAM it gets up quick as hell and starts attacking me, resulting in me jumping out my skin and shouting quite loudly.

It was a Horker.

My 'Best scare' is the first time a Falmer popped out of a wall and snuck up behind Alea and I....Alea all of the sudden says "Nothing to worry about here"...and I'm like what are you talking about....I turn to look at her and there's this Falmer sneaking up behind her with it's axe raised. I literally jump in my seat. Falmers freak me out.
