So, with the issue of Skryim's 3.1GB 32-bit RAM limit, what are the best steps to take in order to reduce load and chances for random freezes on landscape?
I'd assume the obvious first thing to do is select lower resolution textures for landscape mods or alternatively use fewer mods with custom textures, as well as cut down on normals size too. Are there any particular settings for Skyrim itself that can reduce load and make it more stable? Maybe by lowering some of the vanilla settings a bit, or will that have no/little effect on load (thinking maybe shadows especially)?
Also, are there any mods/programs around that can be used to clean out any redundant textures/normals/meshes that might be causing additional load that aren't necessary?
