Best Skyrim is a vanilla Skyrim?

I completely disagree.

Ive played skyrim on console since the game was released and logged hundreds of hours on it until about two months ago when I built my first custom PC just to play games like SKyrim,Oblivion,Fallout series etc.Vanilla Skyrim is a cake walk compared to a modded SKyrim.

With the likes of combat overhauls like "Duel" and "Deadly Combat" that make vanilla enemy AI seem broken and impossible to play because the AI is so dumb.

Mods like frostfall where you actually can die from the harsh weather if you dont dress appropriate in certain parts of the world and make you think twice before you start swimming in water surrounded by ice.

I can go on and on with the immersion mods that make the game 10x harder then vanilla game. After playing both ways i could never go back to Vanilla skyrim on console or PC.A modded skyrim is built for the real rpg player that wants a challenge thats unique to himselfor herself.Sure you can go all out God status if you want but you can easily go the exact opposite and make it one of the most challenging games youll ever play.

Either way though if you are enjoying the game thats all the matters no matter how you play.As original as that sounds its true.

Well sorry then? :S
Anyway, I wasn't furious. Like I said, you annoyed me. I've had quite enough of people that try to convince other people of their opinion that's based on nothing but the first thing that cross their mind. To convince someone of your opinion, make sure you know enough about that topic. ;)

(So unless I'm wrong about you never having tried modding):
If you have a PC that can run Skyrim just give SkyUI and "Enhanced Lights and FX" a try. Use them for a while and you'll understand why I think a modded Skyrim is better. :)

And I think that it is wise to listen to Lady Selene. I've been lazy lately. Emoticons sure make a difference. Time to use them again :D

How the hell did I miss that... Rick, either you've based your thesis on ~3-5% of the mods out there, or some friend of yours bought Skyrim on PC, so that he could use the ingame console and do exactly what you described -maybe both.

Anyway, I won't bore you with titles that will propably sound alien to you, but a significant amount of SkyrimPC players out there, use mods that actually make the game harder than anything you've seen in vanilla. This is what they wanted and the modding community provided. The rest, use graphics enhancements and little touchups here and there -in my case, craftable clothes, wearable lanterns etc.

I also modded a bit on my own, like making the ancient snow elven armor craftable, once the specific quest stage has been met and did the same for the Blades armor & sword. Things you maybe wished you had as well, but the damn box is a closed loop and I will never be able to give you something, even as simple as what I just described, which has absolutely no impact on your achievement record
