Best soul farming location?

What's everyone's favorite soul farming location? Buying souls is nice, but they respawn so slowly since it's only profitable if you buy a filled petty soul gem. Everything else means you will be at a loss.

BTW I use a bow with soul trap.

Then you are doing it wrong...

If you are interested in leveling enchanting this is what I did:
Start in a city (I choose Markarth because of my home). Buy iron ingots/leather scraps from the blacksmith (to make iron daggers to enchant); then go to the palace mage, buy filled petty's and lesser's.

Do this for every city (Buy only about 40-50 ingots as you won't find enough filled soul gems).
*One point to note is that you need to check every blacksmith shop for the banish enchant (send summoned daedra back to oblivion) or at least the absorb health enchant. This is what makes it profitable.

Fast traveling rounds went like: Markarth -> Whiterun -> Riften -> Windhelm -> College of Winterhold (4 vendors to sell you filled gems) -> Solitude. By the time you get back to Markarth everything has been restocked. And on your next rounds around Skyrim you can sell off the daggers you made to the blacksmiths. Rinse repeat as needed.

You don't have to level anything; this is a great way to make gold fast (each dagger I make sells for 750gold). I put banish and absorb health on mine. I also only use petty and lesser soul gems. Hope this helps.

Minor Spoiler

Get Black Star from the Azura quest. A reusable soul gem. Black being better since any human is considered a grand soul while only grand creatures can fill the Azura gem.

I prefer empty lesser and petty gems and fill them while hunting, use the black star for grand souls.

To get my enchanting up I just travelled past a river and collected mud crab souls.

I do think that in this game levelling is wholly too easy.
I dont think that in Morrowind or Oblivion I have ever gotten 100 destruction before 100's of hours more playtime.

It just seems too fast and too easy.

Uh, well for DRAGON souls I would definitely keep Shearpoint as number one. Seems like every time I go back there, at least three dragons attack me in quick succession! Woohoo! :D

I do the mudcrab routine. I will traverse waterways every few days and fill up on em. I am at 81 Enchanting now, I buy vendor soul gems as well filled and empty, and use the filled ones for craft hide bracers to resell. This has kept me in pocket change. I still havnt done the Azuras star quest. :}}}
