I was wondering if you guys could list your opinion on who you think is the strongest of each class in the world of Tamriel, and is also still alive during the Oblivion crisis.

Probably not a easy and/or viable task. You should also probably change "assassin" to "theif," seeing as that fits into the tribunal of the Firmament, i.e. the constellations of the Warrior, Mage, and Thief.

But to answer to the "Theif" one, probably the Gray Fox, in terms of the present. There are others who could probably be considered the greatest above him, such as that Khajiit who owned the Ring of Khajiit...if I'm correct.

You do not hear of the best Assassins, that is what makes them the best.

Except for Dram. He was both famous and one of the best.

Where is it stated the Nerevarine is a warrior? In my game he's a Dunmer Battlemage.

I wish the Tribunal were still alive. That would've made this question easy as hell.

in my game hes a khajit skooma addict rotting away in the sewers of st olms, does that make him a useless [censored] in lore?

nerevar was a warlord, thus a great warrior, and so is the nerevarine

Nerevar, Indoril
When the Chimer race follows Veloth to the northeastern part of Tamriel (now Morrowind), in order to create a new nation based on daedric principles, they are many warring tribes, with no law or leader in common. The Dwemer who have already lived in the area accept the incoming Chimer suspiciously. The Dwemer are an atheist race that have faith on their own science and enchanting rather than Daedra or Aedra. They are known as a great enchanter.

One Chimeri warlord of Indoril clan, Nerevar, has the ambition to rule all the Chimer. In secret, Nerevar meets with a Dwemer smith for an enchanted ring that would help him rule and unite the Chimer tribes. The ring gives its wearer a great power of persuasion; for safety precaution, the ring is also enchanted to instantly kill anyone who wore it except Nerevar. The ring is known as Moon-and-Star. The ring helps Nerevar to finally unite the Chimer and also the Dwemer, destroy the occupying forces of Skyrim and form one powerful nation, the Kingdom of Resdayn. Nerevar and the king of Dwemer, Dumac Dwarf-Orc are known as the First Council.

No it does not mean that. You may be the incarnate of Nerevar, but you are not him. The Nerevarine could be of any trade.

Also not proven. I have a feeling quite a few people could kick the Nerevarine's butt.

Mages, warriors, thieves, are boring. Let's rather speculate idly on the real power of Tamriel:

Most powerful cabbage patch?

Most aesthically-pleasing roll of yarn?

Most annoying cliffracer?

Most fertile kagouti?

Widest and heaviest caliper?

These are questions that need answering. The old "WO PWNS THE ROXXOREZT LOL??!" questions are all boring.

Since you manage to work your way to the head of each guild, I'd say the PC during the OB crisis. Now, as for before the crisis? I'd have to say Tiber Septim, hands down. For all three categories, since he/they are three different people.
Or maybe something like this:

Thief: Greyfox (the first one)
Warrior: Pelinel FTW!
Mage: Galerion

Pelinal svcked.

Pelinal kicked the entire nation's ass. And he was insane. And he was an incarcnation of Enantiomorph. Player doesn't count because he hacked Aurbis simply by existing.
The best thief is surely vivec - he freakin' stole godhood. The best mage must be some Psijic...or Jagar Tharn

Or CHIM, but that's boring, too.

If that was the case, then Almalexia would still be alive.

Not neccesarily. I think Salas Valor could have killed Ayem by the time she went to the Clockwork City. Killing Sotha Sil was no hard feat, since he didn't do anything at all.

At the same time, a bandit ringleader probably could have killed Mannimarco.

Yep, so you see? Oblivion pretty much screwed everyone over, turned men into gods and gods into men.
