Best warrior race?

Post » Wed Dec 14, 2011 8:01 am

My graphics card got fried the day Skyrim came out >.< I managed to get a crappy replacement that I've had to give back, so right now I can't play. I want to do a straight up warrior (one handed, block, heavy armor) for my next character and will support the Stormcloaks. What do you all reccomend? Nord? Imperial? Orc?

Orc, but race really isn't that important in Skyrim. Believe me, it isn't.

Statistically, it's the Orc for the skills and Berserk.

Orc for a one-minute God mode.
Breton if you want to reach the magic resistance cap easily (very handy on harder difficulties).

Whichever looks the nicest to you. STarting stats don't really matter if you're going "EUGH MY ORC IS SO UGLY I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE RAWR SMASH MIRRORS" everyday :D

Sorry, Orc discrimination.

High Elf. That extra magica means the difference between having a duel-wielding warrior in heavy armor. Or having a duel-wielding warrior in heavy armor with stone-skin / ebony-skin alteration armor.

Orc for racial ability beserk is awesome, Nords look way better and make a good beserker type

But really teh starting difference in skills isn't that big of a deal

My first character was a High elf so I won't be doing magic again (probably darkelf spell sword) until I've done a warrior and pure theif. Orc had the best skill load out and an ability I'd probably actually use, so yeah thanks for the advice.

If you want to support the stormcloaks the only logical choice is Nord.

Traditionally in TES games, the choice was either for Orc or Redguard. But since they seemed to have taken away the Redguards' fighting prowess, the choice seems to be Orc.

As long as you're working for them they don't care what race you are.

I love Warriors! Always play a melee type before a mage or thief. The BIGGEST threat to your warrior is Mages! My Orc warrior can chop other warriors up with no problems. But it is the darn mages that kill me. Berserk ofers NO protection against magic. The Breton 25% resist magic is a sweet bonus for a warrior. After that the Orc is the best.

*They* don't care. But what's in it for you?

The Orc is the strongest pure fighter. Going Berserk is just insane!
The Nord is the choice for people who want a pretty-looking, less kick-ass Orc.
Red Guard is a good choice for more versitile warriers who use archery, dual wielding and/or light armor.

Based on what you've described yourself trying to do; I would say to use the Orc if you can stomach his ugliness.
