I am from German background what race would fit that best?

Imperial is probably the closest you can get. I would say Nord but obviously they are took Viking like to be German.

If you're creating yourself, it's obviously depends on how you look but if you're German-looking, I'd say Nord.

It really depends on what you consider to be the strong qualities of your German background. Imperials are good warriors but also probably the most commercial of the races, if that suits you go for it

Germans have a Germanic ancestry like the Dutch, I believe the Flemish aswell.

They had Germanic gods who were the same as the Nordic gods.

Odin was called ''Wodan'' in the Germanic tribes. And Thor was called ''Donar''.

Besides religion they had other similarities aswell.

So I'd say the Nords fit best.
