Best way to remove Quest Flag from items in inventory?

Post » Wed Sep 01, 2010 3:40 pm

I've played my current character more than 700 hours, and in that period of time she has accumulated a number of perma-Quest items in inventory. To clean up the inventory, I'd like to remove the Quest flags from those items that are not needed anymore. But the only way I know how - through the console with the SetQuestItem command - requires objectIDs, which (due to these items being from many different mods) can be difficult to determine. And because they're quest items I can't toss them on the ground and have the game tell me the ObjectID.

Any recommendations for how to do this (relatively) painlessly?

EDIT: From a thread I just saw it looks like FormID Finder or Refscope is what I need. As I am not familiar with either and have not read up on them yet - do they both work on items that are currently in inventory?

As for Refscope and Formid finder. Yes they both work with items in the inventory. They basically do the same thing the main difference is just how the info is displayed, how you activate the function, and some vaying features (ie: A recent refscope update allows you to get the quest ids of any active quests.)
