Best way to RIP audio CD?

Post » Fri Jan 01, 2010 4:07 am

Is there a program that allows me to RIP an audio CD to mp3 (320 KB/s preferable) and that automatically adds album art work and updates the tags? I tried Windows Media Player but it's tagging is so-so at best and it never does the album art right, I've tried a few other programs and have yet to find one that does those 2 functions.

I'm on Windows.

Thanks

Last time I checked iTunes stores tagging in it's own internal database which wouldn't help me at all, as I want to put the music on my Zune.

Don't try this. The sound quality is horrible when you take songs from a CD.

Won't discuss it on these forums. If the CD contents are copyrighted (and if there is album artwork involved, the contents certainly are), nothing allows you to make a rip of it. Even given that the contents are under a special license (such as Creative Commons) allowing you to do so, these forums won't be the place to discuss it, because most ripping activity is not legal.
