Best & Worst

Post » Wed Aug 10, 2011 11:23 pm

The hand made environments and dungeons would be my favourite thing so far. The worst thing would either be not being able to block while dual wielding and the removal of spell creation, although maybe both will work out for the better. We'll see. I have a lot of good things to say about the game and very few bad things.

Edit: Made " a lot" one word. Fixed.

Best: The gritty, cool colored tone of the game. When I see it, it feels less like a videogame and more like a A rated movie.
Worst: Some of the game's community can be pretty nitpicky. I thought the COD community complained a lot.

Best (So far): Khajiits facelift. Hated the looks of them in Oblivion.

Worst: The removal of Atlethics and Acrobatics, also the removal of birthsigns.

In that one video... y'know that one? It clearly showed finishers in first-person. Don't sweat.

Why do so many people think this is an answer to the problem?

Yes, I know there are 1st person finishers as well. That's not the issue. The issue is, when i'm playing in 1st person, I don't want to see a mix of 1st person and 3rd person finishers. I either want to see only 1st person ones, or no finishers at all.

Best: It cannot be worse than Oblivion

Worst: Not sure...there are many thinks I don't like; no medium armor, Khajit and Argonian again have the same bodystructure like the rest and probably no restrictions concerning closed helmets, gloves and boots, but I think the thing I hate most is level scaling. This abomination should die. Level progression is useless and irrelevant, if the world levels with you. I want to notice that I get stronger. Does anyone remember Baldur's Gate (the first one)? Where the difference between lvl1 and lvl2 meant losing a battle without any hope of ever winning or getting out triumphantly? I want that back.

Characters best - environments come in second and are great as usual, but the character visuals and design are so vastly improved from Oblivion
Melee combat worst - unsurprisingly, melee combat still looks awkward and shallow, no blocking with a spell equipped in 1 hand or when dual wielding is a huge bummer, weapons are on the chintzy side visually, and the finishing moves look like they'll be annoying if they're common.

Best thing: Romances (ps - it's ok, I already turned in my man-card when I watched Mama Mia)

Worse thing: No attribute scores. Just can't see how this will work in an RPG. I need stats!

Best? Everything.

Worst? The 11/11/11 release date, way to far down the road :liplick:

Best: Generally everything.
Worst: Pretty much the finishers; hoping that they don't push me out into third person.

Worst thing I've seen is by far the horses. They look just as clunky and unnatural as they did in Oblivion... Bethesda needs to go ask Rockstar(RDR) how to make a proper video game horse...

I've absolutely loved everything else I've seen about the game. Couldn't be more stoked!!!

They are horses in Skyrim and not in the Wild West so they are natually bigger...besides one the individuals who played the demo said it felt like Red Dead Redemption.

Classes! Are you serious? The class system has always been the worst idea TES has done because they are worthless. Most of the people I know who play TES have created a custom class instead of a premade and all of us have felt, at least in the first few months after launch that we probably made a mistake in choosing our major and minor skills. I am so looking forward to not having a restriction on what I want to do in order to level up.

Best - Improved graphics, I guess, and a world that feels like it has more soul than Oblivion's did.

Worst - Oh, where to start? No attributes, less skills, no spears, no throwing weapons (unless they have been kept secret), and overall unneccesary simplification.

The revamped facial detail is my favorite thing so far.

My least favorite thing is the inconsistent texture quality in armor.
