Bestworse movies you've ever seen?

Post » Sun Apr 27, 2014 2:59 pm

Everyone has a movie that they love above all overs (and one they hate above all others).

Me personally, my favourite film is either Lord of the Rings (it counts as one if you watch them all together!) or Hot Fuzz. It's probably Hot Fuzz, actually. No other movie have I been able to watch several dozen times and still smile at it.

As for worse... Watching The Human Centipede when eating dinner wasn't all too pleasant.

I've always considered Shawshank Redemption to be one of my favorite films of all time, followed by Clockwork Orange, but I've got plenty others too.

As for worse? I'm not really sure. Probably every modern, high-budget horror movie starring a bunch of young advlts who get wasted and butchered one after another by some depraved psychopath for some reason. Lame.

Best: There Will Be Blood - Considerably one of Daniel Day-Lewis' best performances, and with Paul Dano is it all the better. And of course, an absolutely outstanding ending.

Other movies include Resevoir Dogs, Gangs of New York, The Departed, Pulp Fiction, Drive, Kill Bill, Cold Mountain, Gattaca, Django Unchained, and so on.

Worst: Hard to say, but I suppose anything with Adam Sandler. Little Nicky and Grown Ups come to mind.

I've watched SO many movies. I have a deep love for cinema.

I can't pick THE best movie, but SOME of the bests to me are: The Usual Suspects, Heat and The Aviator.

The worst movie I've ever seen? By far 'Apache Blood', runner up is 'World War Z' an abomination of a film taken from an amazing book.

I've not read the book nor have I seen the movie. Is the movie bad because it does not do the book justice? Or if you forget about the book totally is it still bad?

No, the books are a work of art and more a docudrama in many respects. The movie is just dross through and through. Whoever designed the movie as it is should never be allowed to work in movies, ever again.

Never read the WWZ book, but the movie as its own is pretty good, I enjoyed it very much :D

...AND I will definitely not go read the book since I'd rather not end up hating the movie

Worst movie I've seen is easily a Common Man. It stars Oscar award winner, Ben Kingsley in what appears to be his worst career choice ever. Something about him being a terrorist planting bombs everywhere as the police try to stop him. I can't even remember how it ended.

The best movie I've seen is Artificial Intelligence. Amazing cast, great directors, great art direction and a story that parallels a classic. It can be incredibly capricious in tone, but uses this to it's advantage to really shock the emotion out of you.
