How many should be enough for you?

Sorry, I still thought it was 3, then DJ told me it was 12.

Sorry to advocate OBSE again, but... you can use http://fose.silverlock.org/fose_command_doc.html#GetFirstRef to get the references of all creatures in the cell, and disable any that are dead and in certain factions (e.g. the enclave, raider and animal factions).

One more reason, lol: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e3A3Oo2R7XM&feature=channel

multiple versions is something that is to be avoided I would say simply for debugging and bugtesters sanity.
FOSE has a very low overhead performance wise.

some people didn't think the personal tent was magnificent enough for a villager leader such as themselves so arcoolka has announced the following.

Description:

A New Home opens up "The One Man Vault" or, OMV for short. It won't be easy to get to though.

Story: As your city grows, you'll need a place to put that disgusting bi-product of the human species. Thankfully, you don't have to invent one, just build it. But don't be surprised if you run into somthing. You, after all, were never supposed to build down there.

Key Features:

Show-Case Room: Change the theme to fit your showy needs! If you plan to display your awe-inspiring arsenal, pick weapons. Maybe you'll show off your Anti-Death armor, pick armor.

All that junk your carrying around feel like it needs a home? Then you can choose the misc option. Or you can pick all three!

Upgrade-able Bedroom: Start small, end big! That's what I always say. Your bedroom might be plain at first, but with a little elbow grease, you'll make it shine!

That's not all, but I don't want to give it all away

Release date a few weeks minimum

Not exactly, have to say that DJPhonix is working on this , not me, and it is also his idea. I, Personally, dont prefer players homes ideas, because only goal of this mods is to earn and store (often unsefull) property and this is not in line with postapocalyptic world, IMHO. Kill me, but I like Mad Max with his car and dog, lol

For a bit of feedback on this, I prefer my tent really, but I honestly don't mind having my own personal minivault to store stuff too (especially with the features it comes with) :tops:

Love the Mad Max too, we have a bike available to us from J3X, all we need now is the car kitted out with extra 'armour' madmax style :) (hope your listening J3X :) )

tris

EDIT: and someone has started the ball rolling for the car:

Am I stupid if I still haven't figured out how Life of A Raider works?

Was a separate one before and worked like this:

After equipping any Raider Armor along with any Raider Helmet you will be able to infiltrate among raiders. Raiders won't attack you and you can chat with them.

Dialog options:
- Cigarette speech challenge (slowly increase your Speech skill level)
- Possibility to hire Raider (Speech level 70 and higher required)
- Possibility to hire Raider speech challenge (if your Speech level is below 70 – failure results decreasing of your Speech skill level )

Tips:
- If you behave like a raider, raiders' enemies will believe that you are a raider as well.
- Don’t misappropriate your disguisemant (don’t attack Raiders) too often, because you will be not able infiltrate among Raiders anymore.
- If you misappropriate your disguisemant, wait to the next day until Raiders forget your misappropriate, or go far away from that hell place
- Care about Raiders in your group, don’t let them fight until their end. Rather than this, let them go home with small reward (Raiders will like you more and more).
- If Raiders will like you enough, they will give you dibs from their booties.
- If Raiders will like you enough you become their friend and you dont have to wear their armor anymore
- If you have got Raiders follower, don’t forget behave like a raider, Raiders will never accept fact you are actually not one of them (except fact U are their friend.)

Bonus: (Charisma 9 and higher requeired)

After equipping any Enclave Armor along with any Enclave Helmet you will be able to infiltrate among Enclave. Enclave members won't attack you and you can chat with them.
- Raiders will tell you about this option.

Now mod works same way, but player dont have to equip any raiders armor or helmet if he set Paradise Falls as a parental system

This is pretty cool! Is it possible to keep on expanding your settlement until it covers the whole wasteland, or is there a limit to how big the town can grow?

at present there is a limit as to the sphere of influence your villager has.
This is done for a number of reasons
1) keep the FPS something sane.
2) try to keep the savegame size o.k
3) bug testing purposes.

I don't imagine that you will be able to take over the entire wasteland with the village.
but I would imagine that the sphere of influence will be expanded in later betas.

The emphasis of the mod is more on quality and forcing the player to make interesting and difficult decisons.

also have to suggest a better title than parental system...trade partner perhaps?

Why have I not heard of this before? O_O I like this concept a lot!

I may have to watch some YT videos and read some stuff.. get all caught up and stuff. I can't run FO3 rught now, cause my desktop blew out, but you guys just sped my plans for repair up a notch. Gotta say though. I know the main goal is to build up the town, but please make sure the villagers and the like are very interactive. It would be a shame for a mod of this sort to be so realistic only to fall sort on the people. When I'm building the place, I want to feel connected to it's people. You know, services are there, some back story etc. For all intents and purposes, it'd be a real place.

This mod is an amazing, incredible accomplishment. My new all-time favourite mod. Thank you so much, you've given me a reason to actually play Fallout, not jsut mod it. If you want, I'd love to help out the team with dialogue and/or quests, but I'm equally happy if you guys would rather keep the team as it is.

Again, well done, amazing mod :D

Definately works with latest Patch.
should work with FWE and MMM as they do not touch on the same things.
but to my knowledge are untested (but at the same time we have not recieved any bug reports stating these are incompatibile)

The only critique I have of this mod is that there are quite a few spelling errors. If you guys send me the esm, I'll have a quick trawl through it and get rid of most of them, and have it back to you within an hour or two.

Man, this is so much fun. Building a little village based around a shipwreck south of Bigtown as we speak :P

Perhaps you could add a way to name your own town? That would add that little extra touch ;)

EDIT: If you do send me the file, you might want to wait until morning. I really need to get some sleep soon :P
