Bethesda? Is anyone home?

@linflas - when you send them support tickets, they refer you to these forums. Such great customer service.

The mods here are just users like you and me given the power to police the forums. They do not "work" (as in know any more than you and I nor do they get paid.) for Bethesda/Zenimax.

If you're referring to the names in green, we're only forum moderators and not in Bethesda's employ. :) We're players of the game just like you and have to deal with the same issues as many of you do, waiting for an update just like you and have as much 'insider knowledge' as everyone here. That said, some of us do command an army of gerbils, while others enjoy long walks on the beach and cross dress in the weekend.

Is it your resposibility to highlight and bring to the attention of the devs the issues we talk about here? If not, who does that?

Oh boy, you are a bright one, aren't you?

"Creation itself was actually an upgraded and modified version of Gamebryo, the same engine Bethesda used for Fallout 3, and Oblivion before it." (source) http://www.gamesradar.com/fallout-4-kind-still-running-oblivion-engine-do-not-fear-bethesda-face/

So yes, it is a modified Gamebryo engine, at the core, as I stated.

Also, not being able to access a vault to do quests is game-breaking. I didn't come here to get popular with you and with credibility. The bugs I addressed and that many others also experience, is al lthe "credibility" I need in your little wonderland.

Go pick a fight with someone else.

Run along now.

Firstly, I would look silly "bringing my torch over to Witcher 3", since I do not own that game, don't you think?

Also, you are completely missing the point. As the yeras go by, games are being rushed to release with more and more bugs, and theis is unacceptable, and only idiots, are ok with this pracitce. They need to take however long it takes to fix these bugs, or at least 98% of them before they start asking for money.

I'd reserch that more. I've read obout a lot of issues with both console versions of the game. Of coruse, with a console, you can't just go out and upgrade RAM, video, or whatever.

I put in a support ticket, on launch day, and haven't received anything other that confirmation from a bot that I did, in fact, make a ticket..

That's not part of our responsibility. Aside from just wanting to talk about the game like everyone else, the forum moderators are only enforcing the forum rules and terms of service and make sure the place doesn't go up in flames :) The data gathering is done by Bethesda employees themselves. We have multiple community managers (usually the red names) that relay information back to the team. Many devs also browse the forums, though you won't often see them as they do so mostly anonymously.

@zyon - I already have an xb1 tho, so its either refund the game for pc and get for xb1, or spend 600 euro or more on another card, which is pointless, because my gtx690 4gb still can play EVERY other game on ultra now a days no issue, and every other game has sli / dual chip gpu support.

All I really want right now, is aknowledgement of the problem and a "yes, we're working to fix it." That's it. Give me something to wait for. Right now, it just seems like they couldn't care less, or worse, have no response planned, or will only fix certain things for players who can already get in game (as opposed to the major crash issues).

I really don't get which part you don't understand, that statement does absolutely nothing other than make a very select few people feel better. Again do you think there's even the slightest chance that this game will never be patched? Because that statement really only gives the knowledge that maybe something (we don't know what) will be fixed at some point (we don't know when). Really not helpful in the slightest.

Have you read opinions of people under this topic? Have you ever heard what "PR" means and what PR departments do? What kind of way of thinking you have really?

If you were ceo of exxon after alaska spill you would say that" oh we fked up but hey everybody know that we will work on it so no need for public announcement" ? Or ceo of volkswagen " hey we cheated ok but no need to make an announcement and apologize, because everybody know that we are sorry and they can guess that we will make up for it"

Well dude, please just keep on playing games only, never get in business life for sake of humanity :D

Well 'dude' please just stick to whining instead of expressing opinions on satisfactory business practice, because last I checked Bethesda were the ones who just released a game which has sold millions of copies not you so I think they might not just a teensy bit more about good business practice.
Also, bugs = oil spill? That's really just too much for me to ever be able to take you seriously.

The fact that this game sold millions of copies has more to do with the quality of earlier Bethesda titles (particularly Fallout) than with its own quality. Companies often perform very well. Until they don't.

I'm a big fan of Bethesda and its games. But the lack of communication about the flaws that need addressing is disappointing. It's pretty hard to deny that its reputation is taking a hit beacuse a big part of the lasting public perception of a game is formed during the first weeks. Just look at Metacritic. And it's hard to redress that perception later, even if the game gets patched it to perfection. Some communication could have avoided a lot of damage. But it appears some at the top have decided it's a better course of action not to publicly acknowledge the problems and to patch some things later.

Communication doesn't avoid anything, all it does is make those who have already said that they're unhappy feel slightly better, that communication is (from a business standpoint) better directed towards attracting new customers and keeping those who are currently happy with the game happy.
At least 80% of people who bought it are happy with it, since they've nearly doubled the sales volume that Skyrim made during its early-release they've still got a larger group of fans who are happy with the game than then. Which means their next game will probably go over even better.

I get why some people are annoyed but it's just unreasonable, the patch will come when it comes, people taking time to make you feel better won't make it come any quicker. Be patient, it will be patched eventually and until then just enjoy the parts of the game that aren't bugged (Which is almost all of it).

I'm quite happy to have my money back! They must have sold so few copies of the game that they needed to fire the whole communication staff?

Maybe they had to stop to rest and take a break after weeks of pre-release 16 hour days.

They are so tired they have to take a week or so off to recuperate and only a skeleton crew remain on call for time being.

Then, here in USA it will be Thanksgiving and we all know that means another required week or so of break time due to it being holidays.

So, I'll guess maybe sometime before Xmas some kind of patch will arrive or at least one of the public relations guys will remember to

post a update on forums.

So, chillax man.

Start stocking up that Eggnog.

So I'm being unreasonable because I'm complaining that I can't play a game I bought 10 days ago and to wait for a patch that no one from Bethesda has said is coming!

I've also got a support ticket number. I got an instant reply back probably automated with links to these forums.

Agreed. For all they claim to be in touch with the community whenever there's an interview, they have been remarkably out of touch with it since Oblivion or so. I miss the days of having frequent conversations with devs on Morrowind. There were so many insider jokes. I'm guessing new management 'reorganized'.
