Bethesda are you here?

Post » Sat Nov 28, 2015 4:00 am

It's been one week I am stuck in the game, the crashing zone to desktop, having issues with the crafting zones, and other minor bugs.

Are you going to do something at least? Because it's been a week I can't enjoy my game anymore, are you working on a patch actually?

Please give us news, you can make a general annoucement it's gonna be rassuring, as many people are in the same case, tell us if you deserted the

game, it already became pretty frustrating.

Regards.

Would love for them to do a community announcement on an upcoming patch but...well they don't seem to work that way.

They won't be counting my money, since it goes back to Steam this week, if no news from Bethesda.

6 more days to return on Steam.

I had some helpful contacts with an admin here but the answers from the tech Staff are really Bad. They ask all things twice but get a dx diag File, they ask for drivers and in the last answer they Talk About an Mac - i dont have one.... I dont know if there is some body real behind the Problems. ....

Yes, because all those posts are over a week old, and aren't giving us any idea of what Bethesda's doing about our problems. Unless you're talking about how useful knowing Bethesda's stance on console commands is to people who can't even get into the game is, even the two posts in the PC Support Thread are negligible. I'm sure they'd appreciate you sticking up for them all the time if they were aware, but the rest of us want some kind of reassurance that we'll actually be able to enjoy the game we shelled out $60 for. Half of us are hanging on a thread, an inch away from getting refunds because Bethesda's been completely MIA since the game's launch. People are getting frustrated. With any other game company, we wouldn't be so civil, but we all have limits to our patience and our hope.

This. A simple twitter post saying they are working on or looking into the issues would be enough to keep the "heat" down from the community (or at least it would give the assurance that some form of official patch is incoming). Didn't they say they were waiting a little while to release the creator kit just to fix the bugs that come up before? We have bugs and we are reporting them and we know they listen (Skyrim) so as long as we provide accurate information to them, they can diagnose and fix those issues faster? Just a thought experiment

People see and hear what they want to...oh and it took about 17 days (minus day 1 patch) for them to release the first patch for Skyrim...so it may be another week or so

I'll have my refund by then, and will have moved on.

And I'll remember to avoid Bethesda in the future.

Still hoping they make some sort of announcement though, so I can avoid refunding. Give me any reason to hold onto my purchase.

The longer the silence, the harder it is to believe that they care at all.

It's a brand new game, a huge title, and not a word from Bethesda since release. Kind of strange, isn't it?

It seems a little petulant to attempt to hold Bethesda ransom with your £40, just to get a response from a company that doesn't do that sort of thing. Not calling you names, just observing the post.

I've said it in another thread, why do people need a response? Are we at that stage where the game has been out so long without a patch that we need it? Nope. Been out a week today. I think people should chill, life's much bigger and alot more going on in the real world, this past week more than most.

Hi, a major problem, 7th day on - won't launch the game properly(

I've got MSi gaming laptop: GPU - nVidia GeForce GTX 970M; CPU - Intel? Core? i7-4710HQ @ 2.50GHz; 8.00 GB RAM; OS - Windows 8.1 - 64 bit (up to date); MAX screen resolution - 1920x1080.

I have pre downloaded the game(Steam version), before launching - updated GPU latest drivers. When launching the game(full screen mode) - a common thing now - black screen and loading point, when going task manager - it says Fallout 4 not responding. Then I've tried windowed mode and (Oh, GOD!) game launches, but in low resolution and it crashes with not saying a particular problem at the very first autosave point, after creating a character (basically - just knocks the game out ) every single time I've tried. Obviously, I began searching for a solution and found loads : verifying with windows, running as administrator, going Fallout4Prefs. ini files (both of them) changing resolution n stuff, reinstalling drivers for my CPU/GPU, switching unnecessary apps off, switching WiFi off, resetting video settings of the game, verifying integrity of game cache on Steam, DirectX and VCC+ installed and so on - nothing works - it still crashes at the same point after the first autosave. I had an improvement though - I could run the game in windowed mode and changed the resolution to my native screen resolution (1920x1080) manually in ini. files, however it still crashes there at the same spot!

No matter what I did - nothing works so far for me..

I really did need to mention this, even if the problem is in my laptop and sorry if I picked the wrong topic or smth.

Could anyone suggest anything ???

Should I ask for refund?

P.S. - on this laptop I possess at the moment, I used to have problems with both Fallout 3 and New Vegas (steam versions) as well, however managed to find the solution and everything works well for me..

P.S. 2 - the Game updated itself automatically on release day + 1 I think - didn't help either.(

BigBadDaddy

Not holding ransom.

I don't want to return the game, but if they aren't going to respond to fixing things including the key bindings, then why should I hold onto it.

I hope they say, we are working on these issues. That would be enough to make me hold off returning it, and wait instead.

Steam gives you up until 14 days, and that's why the urgency for myself.

I just want to know if things will be addressed, so I can make a decision. The silence is deafening.

I think you misunderstood my original post.

Except it would be nice if you pay 130 euros for a game and are actually able to play it. I just wish they'd let us know they're working on it instead of this silence.

You know, looking through the bug list I bet it's a nightmare to figure everything out to put together into a general patch that works for everyone. There's gotta be a lot of head scratching and late nights for those devs this past week I'm sure

Correct me if I'm wrong, but can not the buyer demand his/hers money back if the product is not working as intended?

It pains me that I must come with these questions. The ideal situation would be everyone sitting home playing a functioning Fallout game.

If it's working as intended for over 75% of purchasers then you are going to have a difficult time proving that Bethesda released a broken game just because you happen to be in that 25% minority.

I feel that any attempt by Bethesda to clear the air would be a start. Having paid for a product that I've been unable to use, having requested support through all the proper channels, and still be no where nearer to solving this problem.

It doesn't take much for a company to keep their customers up to date with relevant information. Just let us know what's being addressed in the next patch and when it's aimed at being released.

I'm still stuck on the Fallout4Launcher screen!!!

O.o that isa mod about realistic weapon sounds, lol. I think I know which one you are talking about, but it is for Maxwell architecture gpus, the 690 is kepler and the workaround they suggest for kepler does not work, it just causes your pc to heat up like crazy, so pretty much instead of playing with a 690 4gb atm, I am forced to play with a 680 2 gb because of this nonsense.
