I just thought Dishonored 2 could be among the games revealed. This would please me greatly.

I'm hoping for a new IP and F4.

Yeah, I'll be happy with a Dishonored sequel too; however I'll be disappointed if there's no mention of at least something from BGS.

That's an understatement the crowd will be tempestuous to say the least.I fully expect a riot if Fallout 4 isn't revealed.

Also I'm curious to see the reaction of the gaming industry and of gamers when Fallout 4's resolution and FPS are revealed, I think placing stock in these facets of the game is fatuous but it's been an integral conflict (quarrel to be apt) during this generation.

I'd certainly be curious to know just what sort of genre they'd use in that new IP. If they did/do, I would hope that they'd move away from the familiar formula of games they've been (re)releasing for a couple decades now.

And the community that gravitates towards Beth games have already been quite restless for some time now. If we don't get an announcement of some sort in the near future, I suspect the forums here will explode into another round of angry, disappointed fans wondering why we got nothing yet again.

They'll likely be accused of dragging their feet, of being lazy, and giving us false hopes of getting an announcement on Fallout at E3, when in fact they promised us no such thing...as of now.

It really is to the point where it's in their best interest in saying something on the matter...even if it is to say that yes, we've given up on the franchise and moved on to other things. :sadvaultboy:

Considering that Fallout 4 will likely be awesome in terms of graphics, I doubt that it will be able to handle 1080p and 60 fps on consoles, especially since Assassin's Creed can't. Though I hope I'm wrong of course. The PC version will probably take an expensive rig to play on really good settings and still handle the frame rate.

Most people don't really know what fps means though so I doubt that there will be much of a reaction anyway. "But lower fps is more cinematic like the Hobbit." :teehee:

It'll be interesting to see how they handle the fallout if they don't. Probably the usual silence I imagine, although let's hope not.

In regards to performance, I imagine it'll be the usual 720p and 30fps. I'll be surprised otherwise, although I won't be too concerned, as I don't own any consoles.

I imagine there will be a fallout 4 reveal, something about eso, and probably the other games they publish like dishonored, or the battlecry game (which looks kinda cool imo).

I understand there's going to be a big Fallout 4 reveal. I'm fine with that it's BGS's next big project after all, it's going to be the main event of their show. But i hope us Elder Scrolls fans get a few goodies mentioned. It doesn't have to be anything big, a new ESO expansion or something. I'd hate for them to put on this big huge show at E3 and not even mention The Elder Scrolls :P

For a big event like this it has to be for Fallout 4. No way it's for Dishonored 2, Dishonored II might be announced and shown, but it is not a big video game like The Elder Scrolls video games and Fallout video games for Bethesda Softworks, Prey is canceled, DOOM 4 might be shown.

As I have said, a new IP would be exciting, of course Fallout 4 is an alternative.

But I don't want it to be Fallout 4, mainly because I want to see what the forum members will do. I want to see them suffer (In an insignificant way, but still.)

And no, I don't feel bad about it.

'This point' being what, exactly? The point where one franchise has just quadrupled its customer base, and the other has only one BGS installment so far but is still one of the most talked about games on the internet?

Yeah, I wouldn't exactly call that "bust".

Yeah, "New IP or bust" just kinda seems to feed the "innovate or die" dellusion that some developers have. And Bethesda are doing pretty good, both of their series are loved by many and a new game in either one would probably do pretty well.

That being said, I would love to see a new IP.

The new IP is called Cubicle Wars. It is about your adventures in a cube farm. One of the NPC's you will encounter is someone who's name you are not likely to ever learn, but goes by the sobriquet of "The Plant Lady". Just a hint: She can be quite useful in many of your side quests so don't do things like dumping your coffee mug into the office plants, which will make her very hostile. She seems to be able to go everywhere and remains totally unnoticed the denizens of the cube farm even though she remains in plain sight the entire time she is there. She is the ultimate stealth NPC and can be a valuable ally or a total nightmare.

What? How you even came to that conclusion...I don't even know.

A new IP would be interesting to see, but obviously that isn't the reason people are jumping on hype trains to hell for this conference.

In the E-ring of the Pentagon, there is a small room that has a little old lady (who is in charge) and a 2LT as her assistant. The little old lady runs The Fairy Godmother and Dirty Tricks Department. Now, every two years if the assistant is still a 2LT, the MP's show up, escort the 2LT to the courtyard and shoot him/her. (2LT's are fairly expendable and nobody notices when one goes missing.) If the 2LT has been promoted, they get reassigned and a new 2LT is assigned to the little old lady. Basically, if you are a Butter Bar and get assigned to a little old lady in the E-ring of the Pentagon, your primary goal should be to get promoted. The little old lady is a civilian ES V employee of DoD, at least "officially". It is rumored she is in reality the ONLY ES VI employee in existance, but if she is, that would be classified. She does scare the hell out of Flag Officers, so this rumor is probably fact.

Every Monday, the little old lady selects ten 201 files in a semi-random fashion. I say semi-random because the files of 2LT's are never selected on Mondays. The little old lady then makes sure that something nice happens to these ten service members (the Fairy Godmother of her department's name). On Tuesdays through Fridays, one thousand 201 files are selected each day. 2LT's are well represented in this batch. The little old lady then ensures that something really, really really nasty happens to the selected victims (yep, you guessed it, the Dirty Tricks in the department name). Her department is closed on Saturdays and Sundays (thank you God, I will never doubt you again).

It sounds to me like your 201 file wound up on her desk sometime between Tuesday and Friday (inclusive).

Now on

E-Ring, the Pentagon is constructed in rings, A through E with E being the inner ring (said to be where all the really classified stuff happens).

2LT- Second Lieutenant (Note: if an Ensign is selected as assistant the are involuntarily transferred to the Marine Corps which would make them a 2LT)

Butter Bar (named for the single gold bar that is their rank insignia), aka. Shave Tail (an old reference to the military's habit of shaving the tails of newly acquired horses and mules to signify that they have not been trained/broken yet). - A 2LT.

Flag Officer - General/Admiral.

ES V - highest appointed civilian pay grade in the civil service. Last I checked limited by law to a maximum of 35 people. The civil service equivalent of a 5-star flag officer. (Basically, Cabinet level positions.)

Little old lady - The most dangerous creature in existence. Little old ladies are the primary reason that there are so few little old men around. Even the nicest ones carry a brick in their handbag.

{Edit} I had that backwards. ES I is the highest and ES V is the lowest. So the little old lady is more of an ES 0.
