I don't see this happening. How big of an audience do they have that are Nintendo exclusive?

Has nothing to do with it, Nintendo will be the first to bring out a shiny new console and sience alot of other 3rd parties are already supporting it 360 and ps3 owners are likely to pick up and get a taste of the next generation, during this time Nintendo will have full dominance of the next gen market until ps4 and xboxsomething.

It would seem highly illogical to NOT concider the Wii U at this state.

But what audience to they have on that platform that don't play TES on PC, PS3, 360? Will the returns be worth the effort?

I'll be buying a Wii U if for http://www.videogamesblogger.com/2011/06/14/metroid-wii-u-is-a-sure-thing-says-katsuya-eguchi-of-nintendo.htm alone. I'd still be playing Skyrim on PC, but I'm far more likely get a NIntendo than a PS or XBox. Who knows, perhaps Nintendo would be more mod friendly than $ony or M$? If I could play modded Skyrim on Wii U, I'd even buy Skyrim twice...

I really don't think they are "considering" it. A company coming to you and saying "Will you please port your game to our system pleassssssssssssse please please please we are dying here!" and Pete saying "meh." doesn't mean he's "considering" it.

same reason you would release a game on pc even though it's been months sience it's console release, there is still plenty of market for it.

Aswell as the fact that not EVERYONE will buy Skyrim, tapping into a next gen console where they can bump up the graphics to pc levels is probably why it would sell.

Believe it or not but people do buy the same game twice sometimes, and Nintendo now that i think of it has a HUGE market for RPG's.

I hope they do make it for Wii U. Extends the audience base, increases Beth's revenues = better games in the future.

However, the bad news for Wii U buyers is likely to be; TES VI will likely be too much for the Wii U, as Nintendo is doing the same thing now, as when the Wii was released. Outdated technology for the GPU, but with a revolutionary controller. The Wii was just a smaller version of the Gamecube, and the Wii U is stated by Nintendo as being "slightly more powerful than the X360 & PSIII" This means it'll be well behind in power compared with future consoles (X720 & PSIV) ( Sony & MS are very inventive with their product names...)

Bethesda, please don't dummy down TES VI so it works on the Wii U...

only contrary as dragonborn1 said, it has everything to do with it. if you had to spend $100 on altering something so that you could re-sell it and you only were able to re-sell it for $50 would you do it? i don't think so.

IF they do it at all it will be long after the release of skyrim and long after the release of the wii u just so they can judge how much of the market is upgrading to the wii u from their wii's and how many xbox and ps3 owners are moving over (if any).

Nintendo has a big market, I think there might be plenty of opportunity in that. Probably not all of them have PC-s capable of running Skyrim. And if they want to buy a new console, why would it be anything else if they're pleased with Nintendo? They'll buy it because they trust it.

Also don't forget that alot of 360/ps3 owners are former Nintendo fans who had to get another system to furfill their gaming needs after the wii.

who might go back to Nintendo if they pull this one off.

You clearly underestimate how big of a market nintendo has.
