Bethesda Devs Please Don't Nerf Weapons

Less OP than the health formula.

Now that I use a corrected formula which gives me 85PV at level 99 I don't think Ballistic weave makes me invulnerable anymore.

as you all can no doubt see, this thread suddenly got a bit shorter. I appreciate that people have their points of view on whether something is OP or not, but sorry, as it is a single player game, your choice to use something or not makes this sort of decision a lot less... impactful than if it was a co-op or multi-player game. So getting all worked up and sniping with personal remarks - of which at least three of you did - two going back and forth and one person who randomly jumped in with a useless comment.

So you will see my moderator editing finger prints on a bunch of posts, and you will see that about 10 posts were removed. If you find yourself getting all pissy because quite a few people don't agree with you, then walk away. go find another discussion. If you find yourself getting annoyed because one person is insisting their POV is the correct one, then walk away as well. Personal attacks and snotty comments are not on in this forum as most of you know. So chill out.

If I have to come back and look at this again, there will be warnings. I held off just now because of this post, which I thought was hilarous. :) Thanks for the laugh Marss.

+1 Totally agree. I wear ballistic weave with no armor. The game allows you to set your own difficulty by choosing your weapons are armor to make the game as difficult or easy as you want. You also have multiple levels of ballistic weave.

I'm dumped my armor and I'm not running around in a tuxedo like James Bond in the common wealth.

Inorite?

Sadly, I can easily come up with 2 examples of which I'm very familiar: Borderlands 2, Borderlands - The Pre Sequel. (Technically, "nerfs" were usually considered "fixes", but semantics...)

And in those games i actually have to pay attention, instead of watching TV while clicking left mouse button while my character pummels a Legendary Glowing Mirelurk to death.

I really did that earlier today.

But i learned from it too: No point in wasting perfectly good Gatling Laser ammo on god mode in a game this easy ^_^

No, creating a so-called "balanced" game is exactly what BGS has done with FO4. Why? Because it is impossible to actually create a mass market game that is "balanced" according to every player's individual and varied play style, preferences, and abilities. That is EXACTLY why BGS has always been such a strong supporter of user generated content (i.e., mods).

I'll repeat the point so there is no mistake: it is IMPOSSIBLE to create a game that is "balanced" for all players' play styles and preferences so smart developers will not attempt the impossible. Also, this makes your claim invalid because your claim is based on a false assumption, specifically that it is possible to create a game that is balanced in every player's opinion. A quick review of posts here and elsewhere shows exactly how impossible this is as you see posts from a very wide variety of views regarding topics such as difficulty of the game (i.e., ranging from "FO4 is far too easy" to "FO4 is very hard even on normal mode!").

It's impossible to make a completely balanced open world RPG.. It can always be exploited. I have an instigating missle launcher and am maxrd perk wise so it does 1,404 damage with 1 missle. I just don't use it much.

I have a feeling this person probably plays a lot of MMO's. I spend a lot of time in Neverwinter and yeah, the way games get changed from patch to patch is just redonkulas. I got a feeling we wont see much of that in Fallout 4. If anything I would say make the Chain guns a bit stronger.

But the improved Power Armor mechanics was one of the most hyped features!

(Should have probably put that "god mode" in quotes to avoid confusion with tgm )
