Also, they confirmed the survival overhaul is coming in a free patch, and every time they talk about mods there's always the "absolutely free" qualifier. So, huzzah.

Lame DLC... glad I didn't buy the Season Pass. Such a ripoff. I'd rather see a free DLC or patch to fix settlements and mob respawns... and an option to make Preston mute and stop hitting on my character.
Not too crazy about the first two, even though ill still end up buying them for that complete collection, but that last one sounds absolutely amazing.
More land, more content, that is what I want.
hell no, im not passing on this season pass. really is a excellent deal rigth now only 29$ dollar for alot.
They're also making a good case for buying the season pass DLC. I also see that the first two content packs are straight out of what the community has been trying to do with the base game. Ive seen a lot of reddit posts about people trying to build a arena in their settlements, and lets not forget the RobCo Certified or Buildable Bots mods for Fallout 3 and New Vegas.
Maybe I'm just crazy, but I just can't understand why people would want to pay for something that is already free.
I mean.. Mods already added over 400 items for settlement building without even having the creation kit including their taxodermy and what not. By the time that DLC is released the mods will already have created a far superior version for free. $5 with less content or 0$ and more content
I have no issue with the $25 DLC because it might be amazing and a mod would never be able to replicate it because of the voiced protagonist, but the other stuff just seems nonsensical to me since mods will be on console as well probably by the time Far Harbor is released.
Exactly.. Which is a completely valid reason why some people wouldn't buy the season pass ..
The season pass is for everything. There will be more later this year
why u dont read the full post.
this 3 are the 3 first DLC announce, since they are going to announce more in the future, they incrise the Season pass price.
ppl really need to learn to read the full article.
Quoting the Article
"And more important, that this is only the beginning. We have plans for more. More than $60 worth of new Fallout adventures and features throughout 2016."
"Given the expanded DLC plan, the price of the season pass will increase from the current $29.99 to $49.99 USD (£24.99 to £39.99 GBP; $49.95 to $79.95 AUD) on March 1, 2016. However, if you already purchased the season pass for $29.99, nothing changes - you still get everything at no additional cost— the full $60 offering of add-on content for the original price of $29.99. In addition, if you didn’t buy the season pass yet, there is still time: anyone who buys the Season Pass for $29.99 before March 1st will get all $60 worth of content. This is our way of saying thanks to all our loyal fans who have believed in us and supported us over the years."
"Beyond add-ons, we’ll continue to offer free updates to the game, including new features like the recent https://bethesda.net/#en/events/game/fallout-4-1.3-update/2016/02/01/70, as well as more optimizations to gameplay and quests. And something that we’re really excited about, a complete overhaul of Survival Mode that changes how you play the whole game: food, sleep, diseases, danger and more."
I am pretty sure the two other DLC's were made right after E3. The artists probably had free hands while the game was wrapping up, this is not uncommon in development. It happens quite often really. I am pretty sure that the only thing that really has been worked alot on after release is Far Harbor, which is great. It means they can make something like Dragonborn in size in a shorter amount of time than earlier. New team helping maybe? I am just psyched they finally got quicker development, and i would never really question the quality. Bethesda made released flawed games and DLC, but it never has bad quality to it.
Hmm that's actually a good point. The game was already complete and only needed some final touches, so they probably had the team working on some quick and easy stuff in the mean time. It'd also make sense as to why it'd be offered as DLC when mods have already done it basically.
Good explanation
The first two $4.99 DLCs seem worthless and just a money grab. The third one may be alright since it adds actual new content as in quests, story.
