Bethesda DLC announcement

Post » Wed Feb 17, 2016 8:58 am

Maybe but I get the feeling the canon ending is them being destroyed. Further more the game game never claimed they sent synths outside of commonwealth, which the harbor dlc supposedly claims that it's in Maine, where it would make sense.

I'd much rather preferred something new and different. Maybe gunners or a militia growing to combat the minute men or railroad.

Except I have a good point, whether or not you disagree with it doesn't change this fact

o the first one. Missions defeating evil robots (looks like the mechanist no longer sees himself as a hero- I wonder if we will get any F3 lore confirmation) and building our own robots. Could e fun.

The second.. I'm not too interested in. I know a lot of people were looking forward to an arena of some tyoe, so I'm happy for those folks.

The thirds... It's the largest landmass DLC theyve made. Think about that. PL was pretty big.. From what I understand the Skyrim DLC was even bigger. So.. Should be pretty damned big. If there is a lot to do and see, this should be great.

And, there is more in the works? I'm happy.
I do hope they space them out a few months n between. That was great in F3 and NV. months after release, getting new life breathed in.

Looks like my season pass already paid for itself.

Far Harbor sounds the best one by far. If I didn't have a season pass I wouldn't bother with the other two tbh. Fingers crossed we get another couple of big ones :)

So, even if the Institute is destroyed, that leaves either the Railroad trying to help existing synths or the Brotherhood trying to kill them. Your claim is still unsubstantiated.

And no, you don't have a good point. Things that are designed to include everything should include everything.

Yes harbor one does sound to be the better one so far, which is what I'm happy about. Perhaps I'll simply wait until April before getting the dlc's and start re-recording fallout 4

You disagree with my comment, that doesn't mean my point has no merit. Learn the difference.

As far as your first comment goes: this dlc didn't specify saving synths. It sounded more like enemy synths to me with the children of atom

Automatron - Mechanist?! The guy who fought the Silver Shroud in the radio dramas? Time to out the mantle of the Silver Shroud back on! And there better be the option to speak as the Silver Shroud during the quests ;) Don't care much about the robots since I like to play solo, but I might find use for them in settlements.

And I hope we can build a Robobrain. I want to turn Elder Maxson into a Robobrain. (yeah, I know I'm not getting this)

Wasteland Workshop - New stuff to build is always nice! Don't care about the arena, but my Institute research outposts will be happy to be able to hold Deathclaws, Ferals and Supermutants as research subjects ;)

Far Shore - Ohohohoho, this looks nice! It'll be interesting to see a Synth colony as until now we only saw them as hopeless individuals. And judging by the "Will you work towards bringing peace to Far Harbor, and at what cost?", we will get more hard choices to make and getting our hands dirty! Good to see that Beth did not get scared by the Chickens! And I hope the part "filled with new faction quests" does not mean only the Synths, Town People and Children of Atom, but also the original four factions

And nice to see the overall price rise! Hopefully it rises further in the future as well.

I disagree with your comment because it is "head in the sand" wrong. Even if you blow up the Institute, there is still a story line for synths and their existence. Even if you destroy the RR and the BOS as well, there is still a story line reason for synths to exist. Whether or not you like it does not change this fact.

Yeah. I am hoping this SYNTH colony makes Railroad looks much better and understandable...

I currently see Railroad as bunch of idiots with no clue whatsoever...

Funny, it wasn't the Silver Shroud character I thought of, but the NPC from Fallout 3 who used robots to fight the Antagonizer and her giant ants.

I'm pretty happy with this announcement. Far Shore is obviously what everyone will be waiting for, but these other two look like they can be fun diversions while we wait.

Looks like the season pass is a pretty good investment.

This is great! I'm a little worried that robot companions will kind of make current companions useless though.

Wait, does this mean I can mod Codsworth?

It seems the Wasteland Workshop adds a fusion generator, you can see it atop of the settlement building. So we might be getting a lot more crafting items then.

I thought the whole point of a 'Season Pass' was to include all DLC, not just that that which is related to storyline content.../sarcasm if not, please, someone do tell me so I can get a refund on my season pass /endsarcasm

On topic:

I initially felt a little bit disappointed with the DLC that was announced, but having re-read the announcement I'm quite happy with what we're getting at the moment.

Automatron looks fairly interesting and looks like it will add some weapons/armour, as well as (very)customizable robot companions, with a quest or tow associated with it.

Wasteland Workshop does look like it could be on par with Hearthfire...which is all well and good with me as I enjoyed Hearthfire. Having more customizable options for the workshop and settlements will be welcome, I'm just hoping there's enough to make my settlements look more varied....pit fights could help pass the time until the most promising DLC arrives (so far).

Far Harbour has caught my eye...mainly with this one line from Bethesda "Far Harbor features the largest landmass for an add-on that we’ve ever created".

I'm really hoping that this will be on par with Shivering Isles (Oblivion) or Dragonborn (Skyrim), as I immensely enjoyed both of those DLC's/expansions due to their size, scale, story, and the sheer fun I had from them.

Conflict between Children of Atom, local townspeople, and a synth colony?

I really hope its better than what I think, but that sounds rather boring. :sadvaultboy:

If you side with the RR, saving synths would make sense. If you were with the institute wouldn't you be trying to capture them and bring them back to the institute? Assuming the dlc plays out in a certain way i'm not sure.

From what I remember after destroying the institute there's no more synths to be found but you can spawn them using the Institute Beacon but that's it.

I kinda disagree i thought the RR were kinda noble really standing up trying to free slaves. It was pretty good faction but more expansion on them is always welcome. I just hope there's some dlc for the gunners as a faction. They seem like they were tacked on :(

I'm very excited. It looks like the Robot one will offer some new armor given what the LS is wearing in the picture and the new island will be a blast.

Yep, that's because everyone played the FO3 quest but not everyone listens to the Silver Shroud radio dramas (doesn't help that they stop playing after you progress deeper into the quest). The Mechanist is the main villain in these dramas and maybe that in itself was a DLC hint.
