2) Knowing that the game had so many problems, they were faced with a choice: release New Vegas on time with bugs or delay it and miss the prime launch window, disappoint fans by making them wait longer, risk incensed vendors, and deal with corporate repercussions. They only had a year and a half to make this game, and given its size, there's no way they could've finished it on time, bug free, and within budget. I personally think they made the right choice. It's good for Bethesda and Oblivion's finances to have released it when they did, I want to see those companies succeed; plus I was tired of waiting for the game. I'm willing to put up with some bugs in order to be able to play now rather than wait several more months. Really, it's in everyone's favor that they released when they did. If you don't like the buggyness, buy a copy and wait til its fixed. When it is, you spent the same amount as you would've spent when it launched several months from now delayed. Or better yet -- don't buy a copy and wait til it is fixed and buy it at a reduced price.
3) The point is, you can't demand that the game be released without bugs and be against waiting longer for its release. And if you are OK with waiting longer for its release, why can't you simply stop playing it and wait til it gets patched, then play? I think a lot of the people complaining actually want both and don't realize that this is a binary proposal. I find it childish.
(1) its obsidian not oblivion (that is another Bethesda game loaded with bugs).
(2) I have said this over and over before. You are one of the lucky ones that is only experiencing minor glitches, not game ending hard crashes like the rest of us that make the game unplayable.
(3) I can not agree with your statement about I want it now now now. That conjures a stereotype image of today's society of needing every thing now, ready or not, which comanies cater to and release inferior products. If you promise some one to build them a car, are you gonna give them one with no brakes or no engine just because you said you would have it ready for them in a week? Do you think they will be more angry at you breaking a promise or building them a death trap? I find it a bit backward for you to accuse those of us that are willing to wait patiently for a finished project to be childish.
(4) you tell us to buy a broken project and wait for them to patch it to make it work. They didn't do it for oblivion. They didn't do it for fallout3 why should I but a broken product and hope they will fix this one?
