Bethesda Give up on PC game

Post » Sun Nov 29, 2015 10:22 pm

Over 40 hours into the game and I have been raided many times in that time and I have yet to see this happen.

You know that a full phisical copy on release has nothing to do with maintaining and updating?

I'm saying that your assertion that Bethesda has abandoned the PC market simply isn't supported by what we can measure. Opinion has very little to do with it.

Measure individial Dialogue options by the number and their fall from Daggerfall to now. Otherwise, Im completely with you. Opinion has little to do with it. Facts and emprical date speaks volumes.

it's 39 hours on my side and the raid is broken because i'm not able to end it and so everyone in sanctuary will die because of "auto fail" ... so lucky you ...

Never ending? So it is bugged for you? yeah that is not cool but even raids I have failed I don't think I have had anyone die. I didn't know that was possible but good to know for the future.

Physical PC copies account for 6% of sales. The PC market has gone digital download. Complaining about the hard copy is like complaining about how hard it is to find cassette tapes.

You do know that by backing your argument up by saying "well it's the most played game on steam" isn't a valid argument right? The game is new and people are still trying to give it a chance. You want too see how people feel about this game give it a month. If they take as long with patches like they usually do. Witcher 3 will once again be the most played game.

I find it entertaining. All the ones who arbitrarily decided in advance to hate it, are all having a miserable time. xD

No raiders have even attempted to attack any of my settlements so far. All settlements (w/ settlers) are 100+ in defense.

Not seeing how that points to an "abandonment" of the PC audience.

Op would have Bethesda give up on PCs, and disappoint literally millions of us PC users who love it, just because he does not like it.

I find it way more satisfying to get up each morning, looking forward to getting back in the game.

But hay, whatever floats your boat.

I dont see any colorful settings in fallout? where are those? all the enemies or environments are like the same colors making it impossible to find dead enemies to loot. Are you playing fallout 4? looks more like a generic COD game even the enemies are the same colors. its like they only had 10 colors to work with at bethesda.

OK, now measure useful dialogue options as opposed to tour guide stuff and you;ll see they've actually increased for FO4. I can't speak for Daggerfall because I've mostly erased the horror from my mind.

Seriously, I still play Oblivion ,FO3 and Skyrim and it sure seems like I have MORE options now. Horrors only four. Wait I mostly had two sometimes only one before.

1.) You really expected a completely bugfree game? NO game is bugfree, less so openworldgames, even more less so on PC.

2.) Dismiss him. Problem solved.

3.) It′s called prerequisites. Y′know, that′s something alot of games use to maintain challenge.

4.) Yeah I know it′s ridiculous right. I still vividly remember the times I unloaded my full Minigun mag into that Behemoth in FO3 in VATS. Sadly that Behemoth went behind cover. Atleast in FO4 I can abort VATS at anytime.

5.) I′ve played a stealthy character for 60 hours. Some of what you say is true and some is plain wrong. Unlike Skyrim, Line of sight and lightlevel plays a huge role on whether you get detected or not.

6.) See #1.

7.) Now that I agree with completely.

8.) I can roleplay just fine.

I luved me some X3R and TC. Especially the extended versions. Sigh. X-Rebirth failed hard even for me.

Freely configurable keys are a must, especially on PC. I love FO4, but no matter what I say or do, a bud of mine will never ever buy it because of the fact that keys are not freely configurable.

I can read two Loading screen tips.Dunno how long that is. But personally I like that.

On a side note, the one thing I really hate is lack of options, as in, why the heck is my character running by default? And why the heck do I have to always retoggle walk after I loaded the game? Why is it no longer handled like Oblivion, where I do that once and then can forget about it? And why can′t I disable tutorial tips? Yeah, sure, I can edit the .ini file, but I shouldn′t have to!

Are you sure about that?

According to http://store.steampowered.com/stats/ the Witcher 3 is way down the list. Way below Fallout 4.

Also good to see Skyrim still flying high after four years!

!, Yes. Everyone agrees, the settlement system needs work.

2. Dogmeat - all companions behave like him. If you want to stealth around, drop your companions. They all run ahead, and they all aggro a room. Yes, companions need work too.

3. The skill system is a matter of taste. I don't mind it so much. But others do. This is not a bug. It's working as intended. You just don't like it. Tough it out.

4. Manage your AP well then. Not the games vault. You can mod your armor to help with AP, there are also several perks that will help a great deal, and use drugs. Again, not a bug. You just don't like it.

5. Stealth is fine. You just have to be extra careful. There's a thread about this, with tips and suggestions so go check it out. Many of us are enjoying the stealth system right now. Also, DROP COMPANIONS to stealth. Until we get the mod kit, or Beth changes the current companions, they are not good for stealth chars.

6. I have my issues with the MQ as well. But mine are lore/plot based. I've ran across a couple of minor bugs in the MQ but not many. I don't like being forced into anything either - hence my issues with the MQ line. IMHO the ending is just about awful - but again, this isn't a bug. Many are complaining about the Dialog and the MQ story - but these aren't bugs either. Oh, and you are not forced to take Dogmeat anywhere. You can dismiss him, or just don't take him and leave him at the station.

7. Again,. not a bug. But still a major issue. Something Beth should've had in from the start. I suspect they will add this.

8. Not a bug. You don't like the lack of RP elements- others do.

Most of the issues you listed are design based and not bugs. But yes, this game has bugs. All games released now have bugs. Yes, even Witcher 3 had them from the start. I remember, not being able to climb a latter when it first came out. So wait. For patches and the mod kit.

ME - I loved all 3 games and every DLC. I've played all 3 at least 6 times - ME 2 and 3 more. My only real issue was with 3 and the ending. But now, with Citadel and the Extended Cut, the endings still svck, but are tolerable. To me Citadel is the ending, IMHO. ME 3 had plenty of raw drama and emotion. It never claimed to be an open world RPG. ME has a well defined char that you play. So does this game and so does Witcher.

The big difference between FO4 and W3, is that W3 has more options for you to play Geralt. While FO4 offers few options and a linear path through the MQ. I don't like it, but it's not a bug. Its working as intended.
