Bethesda has really out done themselves with this game

Post » Fri Oct 14, 2011 7:22 am

As much as i see people hate on Skyrim I see twice as many people glorifying it, and so it really has to be something spectacular. From the artwork and details to the combat system and AI, Skyrim has stepped up and delivered that game that anyone who is willing to learn how to play will love. Sure there WILL be a few things here and there you might not like, but other people might like that certain feature. Its impossible for a company to make a perfect game that everyone will love everything about, and as close as Bethesda has come with Skyrim to being that perfect game they should receive nothing but credit. Just look past those few annoyances and just enjoy this game to the best of your ability.

This game will be good, even if it's not perfect. :vaultboy:

A lot of people kind of forget it seems.... How big of a step Skyrim is. And that no one here has played it. Kudos to Todd and Bethesda

I really hope so. I have put a lot of anticipation and hopes into this game. More so than any other.

You guys haven't even played it yet...

It's like ...

*Walks into restaurant*

Host: "Right this way sir, your table is waiting."

Me: "OMG Best. Meal. Ever."

I just don't get you guys I guess. Ya, we've seen screenshots (Screenshots and videos looked great for Two Worlds 2 before it came out, look what came of that) but until you play the game itself you can't really say anything.

I've had a hard on for Bethesda for a long time. I love everything they do. The have thrived for a long time, especially getting through the tough times of really bad TES games. But with Morrowind and Oblivion they have grown a lot.

A lot of great things were said about Rage by previewers. Then the full game released and it didn't get the rave reviews that were expected.

I just bought Oblivion a couple weeks ago. Just messing around with it to learn the ropes of the game. It is much more enjoyable than Fable 2 and 3 were. If Skyrim is equal to oblivion I will be happy. However what I have seen of Skyrim it is different, better in some areas and worse in others. I like the 3D view of items. But I like having lists for stuff as it is faster to find things for me rather than looking at every single item individually. The lack of a class is great as we don't have rpg style classes in real life. The stars for skills is nifty but again a list would have been easier to navigate. I am not sure of the lockpicking minigame, it looks like it will be harder to do but I will reserve judgment on that till I actually play it.

Dragon Age 2 got high scores too, and for a full retail game was complete trash. I'll wait till I play the game for myself before I say it svcks, or is amazing.

Ah, but see, when you have met that same chef on other occasions, had their food, and know what to expect, and when that chef calls you up ahead of time telling you what your meal will consist of, and that it will take you 300 hours to eat it, then things begin to come into perspective.

Oblivion is currently my favorite game ever of all time, no doubt Skyrim will surpass it effortless and become my number 1.

Seriously, thanks BGS you guys are the best game company on Earth. You make fantastic games, you don't mainstream them, and you listen to your fans and are active on the forum.

Keep it up!
