Witcher 3 NAILED the women... I mean they did a dang good job.
I suppose, if you like the "Crack-Ho" look. On the plus side, at least she's a red-head.
Witcher 3 NAILED the women if you like hypersixualized stereotypes wearing inappropriately revealing outfits and high-heels to help save the world and don't get me started on the actual prosttutes. I kept wanting to tell Ciri to "Button up your blouse young lady, you look like a [censored]!" I mean, I am her father after all (basically).
That's the thing about aesthetics. It's completely subjective and can never be wrong. You may not like it, but that doesn't make it wrong.
How about http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/fallout/images/d/d1/Fo4Becky_Fallon.png/revision/latest?cb=20151128125217
She looks like she's lived a long and hard life....look at those cheekbones..
No drugs for me!
As I said in the same post, shoddy doesn't mean attractive. It just means devoid of any sort of physical character. Their VO's are pretty interesting for the most part. If you look at the male characters I linked, they all have something about them that makes them physically unique.
That's not to say that there aren't any unique female characters.. I just find they are few and far between compared to male characters.
http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/fallout/images/7/7d/FO4_-_Glory.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20151122210236 would be my example of a female NPC with a lot character. The same with http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/fallout/images/6/62/Bobbi_No-Nose.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20151212211330
I don't agree with OP about Beth having an ugly women problem. I think it's pretty clear that Beth tries to represent to real-world beauty standards rather than Hollywood's. However I do agree with Mikedzines about the lack of distinctiveness and character with the female faces. I don't they were fully neglected, but I can see what he means about the male characters being more interesting and distinctive. For example, Piper seemed like her appearance was a result of a design compromise and female settlers seem to have very little variation. I thought Curie's design was a good choice though.
On the other hand, look at the Bobrov brothers in Diamond City, who are incredibly lifelike and charismatic. I think Travis is really well done too, especially when seeing his disposition change during his questline. The male NPCs all have incredible character, etc. etc.
I always put hot chicks in my Beth games, but I'm fine with letting mods take care of that and prefer that Beth sticks with what's realistic. They sell games fine while adhering to their own principals instead of giving into market trends. More power to them.
Try moving to Portland OR. Sure we've got our share of fatties, but most of the women are in shape and dress a lot like Piper or Cait . I don't think most guys want a bunch of skanks around.
I almost forgot that she was an elderly. She doesn't really look that old, I'm presuming she is around her late 50s. Hard life? Her whole sales pitch makes her appear as though she is spun from the same thread as the Latimers and the Codmans.
Super sixy women in a post apoc setting, after a nuclear bomb goes off and mutates everything is ridiculous. And all the guys are ugly too btw.
No thank you. The Witcher series totally alienates women. I hate their game world.
Okay, Fallout won't hold up in comparison to a game that uses custom models for each individual face like the Witcher. But I said this game has the best facegen I've seen in a game so far, where all of the NPCs use the same facial modeling system we get to use at chargen to customize our character's appearance. You're always going to have to sacrifice a little bit of those extra touches if the game uses a one-size-fits-all facegen for every NPC, but it's also a really efficient way to make hundreds of good-looking NPCs and give the player a lot of options to customize their own appearance.
Bethesda definitely doesn't use it just to make "realistic" looking characters. Everything's just a little more stylized in this game.
I have no problem with their faces, but I hate their table looking butts. Nothing like the Trailer.
You want women to be scenery instead of people.
Thank goodness Bethesda doesn't seem to share his view.
I like they keep the world rough, and more fitting of post apoc.
I don't feel like Fallout needs this
it has always been a trademark of Witcher and we shouldn't copy too much from other games, like you see on the dialogue ^^
Bethesda should keep working on their strengths, instead of adding more stuff from other games
having beautiful women everywhere in the Fallout universe would be totally misplaced
Yeah, I expect all the women in my wasteland to be stunning.
Triss is well done atleast, Yenner aswell. Ciri on the other hand? So much mascara and running in high heels and she is a Witcheress? That made me cringe, more than once.
