Bethesda, I have the solution to your ugly woman problem

Post » Mon Jan 11, 2016 11:35 am

Oh give me a break. Everyone can appreciate a beautiful woman or a good looking male. Admiring the physical form isn't a detrimental thing or wrong and to say so is a load of PC nonsense . IF you had actually READ my post you would have seen where I said in the witcher 3 Ciri and Triss were beautiful; BUT they were also strong and powerful women and could take care of themselves. They had an amazing personality and characteristics. They showed emotion and the women in fallout 4 (while I love the game) don't have much personality.. Nor do most of the male companions (like Preston).

People who don't appreciate a beautiful woman are crazy or jelous. Women that are beautiful are not scenery and to suggest so is absurd.

I am not sixist but a pretty girl who takes care of herself is far more attractive than a rough girl who doesn't. Just because bombs dropped in fallout doesn't mean women suddenly are not attractive and that there are no gorgeous women in the world.

Piper and Cait were not my taste personally but I think the main reason was the personality... They were basically a typical left journalist and a stereotype of a drunken Irish girl with a drug problem.

Before accusing me of thinking women are objects next time maybe listen to my thoughts first. People play games to escape the real world, not to revel in reality.

That art direction changes the game world, ultimately turns it into a cheesy world that has nothing to do with the story. Go mod your game if you want eyecandy.

Vanilla FO4 is a huge improvement over vanilla FONV... The eyebrows in FONV drove me crazy. No mater what you did eith them they ended up looking like a cross between Groucho Marx and a wannabe werewolf... and don't even get me started on vanilla Morrowind faces and bodies.

I think the weathered look fits the game world.

Compared to past Bethesda games I was able to make characters I was very happy with. That's a new thing, and in the end, all that matters to me. The rest of the static characters are art which is always subjective and not worth debating.

You keep defending it by claiming that it is subjective, but it is not about how beautiful or ugly they are, but the models are just unrealistic. Games from 2012 done it better, even shading. And I can see already looking at Skyrim that no amount of modding will make that shading look good.

They're not meant to be realistic, though. Bethesda's not going for a "photo-realistic" aesthetic, it looks more like a violent and bloody Pixar film.

I suggest you google "trailer Trash" to see what people with a bad diet and no dental look like. Beth as usual have done a great job of making everybody appropriate for the environment. You can make a pretty character with the tools in game, or just play with one of the defaults.

There are already eye and mouth mods, and CBBE with body slide is in Alpha at the moment.
