how would you react to seeing towns you visited often in morrowind/ oblivion change? if balmora became the size of one of the cities from assassins creed or vivec's buildings became six stories and 8 times the size of what they were? what if the river between leyawin and blackwood became a km in distance?

If they were to make Tamriel to scale, then to be realistically sized with it's environments, it would need to be at least about the size of Australia or so, and have hundreds of cities with tens to hundreds of thousands of buildings each.

Does that sound plausible for TES 6/7 to you?

It would be, in a word, AMAZING!!! But no, I can't see that happening. It would be too much for any existing system (pc or console) to handle. At least, for most systems, anyway. It would be a dream come true if they could make a game with all of Tamriel involved, even if it wasn't made to scale as the OP wants....

I don't think I'd even want a TES game that's set to real life scale and as big as it's supposed to be. It would be too much. It would take years and years JUST adding in all the NPCs, or else we'd get a bunch of clones walking around, and then what's the point? It would take hours to travel from point A to point B. It would be so tedious.

It may sound cool in theory, but hellz no. Just look at the game "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Desert_Bus#Desert_Bus."
