Bethesda not taking time to answer customer service question

Post » Wed Dec 14, 2011 2:52 pm

It's clear at this point that Bethesda has realeased a sub-par product in the Ps3 version of this game. This is unethical and a very disrespectful act towards their fans.

The fact that they didn't want to ship early review copies for the Ps3 version is suspicious as hell

Some are saying that they have no problems, which was true for me too initially, but the problems are there, a lot of people are having them and they're not making that up.

Bethesda are trying to sweep it under the rug, assuting people that pathces are coming and that it's an on-going process. NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

They need to issue a statement first and foremost, to explain to their paying customers, why this has happened and apologise for it.

Futhermore, they should answer emails from from disappointed fans!

I contacted their support over a week a go with complaints on the game and they have completely blown me off. Arrogant as hell.

I really hope that Bethesda lose a lot of fans over this because they have certainly lost me. I will not be buying a single Bethesda game ever again. At least not on the Ps3 and I will be taking very great care
in the future before deciding to buy one of their products.

..Saying they're gonna patch it is enough.

Do you want a letter of apology, free games for life and a foot massage?

It isn't like Bethesda is sitting back sipping on martinis, laughing at the poor fans. They are working hard on the patches and future content.

I said to myself after buying Fallout New Vegas I would never by another Bethesda Game New. Then come story Skyrim will be different it is going to be handled in house. Well now they have no one else to blame. Your Brand has been damaged Bethesda the next RPG you release I would reduce the estimated new game sales by 50%. Get a good publicist you will need it to mend these bridges.

This IS Bethesda fault, as they released the game for the system which has not enough system capabilities, knowing it won't run it correctly.

To be fair. The PS3 version was kept well away from the gaming press right up to release. The XBox version was the one demoed all over the place, the PC version was talked up and hardly a peep about the PS3 version. Add in Bethesda's well documented history with the PS3 versions of their games being the most buggy of the three supported platform.

I'm surprised there is PS3 owners who didn't pre-lube themselves for yet another episode in their love-hate relationship with Bethesda.

I'm sure Bethesda will get things sorted out with the PS3 version of the game. It's more a matter of time than money. A year ago I grumbled for 6 weeks while New Vegas was fixed to a point I could even play it. It did happen in the end then and it will here.

Its not arrogance, its a large corporation and that is how corporations respond. Typically corporations do not want to publicly acknowledge the problem until the problem has been resolved. I would not expect anything different here.

Bleh, but I guess that doesnt make it any less arrogant, corporations feel themselves unaccountable.

Wait - by owning up to the issues and letting the public know they're working on them, this equates to sweeping under the rug? Sure.

And they should now have someone answering emails from whining idiots disappointed fans? Okay, Bethesda, if you're up for it, I have plenty of experience in dealing with end users who think everything should be fixed immediately AND their emails etc be answered, and have some macros ready to go. Seriously, to see some of the BS rolling in, I would do that "work" for free.

When you say they "blew you off", do you mean they haven't responded as they are busy trying to fix a huge problem? Is that it?

Love the cases of PEBKAC arising daily on this forum.

Yes, I am sure that their customer service department has suddenly been taken over by its programming department.

I'm sure their customer service is outsourced, and they're busy telling the people in Indonesia which scripts to use for what scenarios. Teaching someone who speaks another language how best to respond to a whiny complaint doesn't come natural to everyone. But the people who could best inform them what actually is happening and why, etc - ARE in the programming department.

That and a whiny complaint probably ends up quite far down on anyones to-do list.

To be fair, most of the PS3 problems are down to its dog$&*t processor and the way it handles RAM.

A good many developers have trouble getting the PS3 to perform as well as the 360. Sony don't make it easy for third party developers to get the best out of their achine.

Ultimately, though starting another thread to rant abouyt something already ranted about in dozen upon dozens of thers is a bit of a waste of time.

Arguably on the wrong forum too.

hardware issue. Maybe you should write an email to sony instead about their decision to split their internal memory.

Actually it is an issue for Bethesda. Apparently they don't know know how to program for the ps3. Pc users always hear about how difficult it is to program for the Pc due to all the various configurations. And yet the 360 and ps3 come with standardized hardware but still have problems. Maybe it's not hardware configurations after all. Maybe they just don't know how to program for the hardware.

They knew what they were dealing with, the fact is that they dont know how to make games for the ps3, some of the best looking games are on the ps3, so dont say its a hardware fault, it is a bethesda game design fault!!
