Bethesda Pirates of the Caribbean

Does anyone remember the Pirates of the Caribbean game published by Bethesda? That was in... 2003 I think.

I remember it as one of the best pirate/naval games ever made. Why didnt Bethesda make anything like that again? I miss that damn cursed thing :(

It wasn't made by Bethesda, it was made by Akella and a sequel to a game called Sea Dogs. Bethesda published it. Akella later made Age of Pirates, which is crap. A Russian modding team was then hired on to do Age of Pirates 2 on the basis of Age of Pirates, and it turned out pretty good, though not without issues.

If you want another game like PotC I'd suggest looking into Age of Pirates 2.

I know it wasnt made by Bethesda, but surely Bethesda has some rights over the game. And I know about sea dogs and age of pirates, but those are too flashy and anime like. Idk.

It would be great if Bethesda could work on something like that.

I don't know where you got that impression. Age of Pirates is not anime like or flashy in the least. It's basicly PotC+. If anything it's sluggish and kinda ugly :P

Bethesda doing anything like the old PotC game is incredibly unlikely given that they didn't have any involvement in the game to begin with. and it is tied to a movie license.
