Fair point, but to be honest have you seen some of the threads since the game was announced? At least "please don't make this game svck balls" is a viewpoint I have some sympathy with, unlike 50% of the threads on the first page at the moment.

I don't think I've ever played a Bethesda developed game that svcked, although, that's just me. Some people will denounce any game as svcking, but what can you do to remotely satisfy everyone?

I expect there to be things I don't like in Skyrim; like all other ES games; but I will certainly play it for many hours in spite of the "faults". I do not expect a complete failure at all.

As others have said, I have faith in Bethesda. From everything I've seen of the game I expect it to be great. Even if it has some flaws I'm sure I'll love it anyway and there is pretty much nothing keeping me from buying it unless it completely flops, which I don't foresee.
