Skill books + Comprehension perk + Explore = Maxed out character. Level 20 is fine.

lemme guess you picked the very easy difficulty and maxed out big guns and strength as fast as you could? <_<

Why would you want to max all of your skills?

The whole point of having only 20 levels was to force you to make decisions and thus have consequences,
And in doing this would make you have to start again so you can experience the game from a different angle, a new perspective.

You will NEVER fully enjoy this game if you could max all stats and be "uber leet" with no challenge whatsoever.

Go play Oblivion if you want to do that.

I agree with Manky. The game is already rediculously easy at level 20 if you play on Normal, and from what I hear is completely doable on Hard/Very Hard if you pay attention and make wise decisions. Giving you the ability to max your skills with no thought whatsoever wouldn't add anything to the game. If anything, they should keep the max level 20, make it harder to acheive level 20, and maybe add a few more skill books to throw people a bone.

I don't think they will release a DLC that changes the game / rebalance it. They leave stuffs like that to us modders ;)

In my opinion the level 20 cap is a great decision.

And in an RPG, I don't think you should be allowed to max out everything.

If anything, I think they should make it much more difficult to get to level 20.

But there will likely be mods to increase the cap.

Im playing on very hard with a unarmed/melee based character and on my fourth run.
It seems tough and boring but its so much fun!

The satisfaction of finally figuring out how to get out of a amazingly difficult situation is really rewarding and even on my fourth play through I'm still finding new things to enjoy.

Yeh they should totally make it harder to reach 20, or at least have the difficulty of very hard but not get the exp bonus of being on very hard.

Yeh, my way of putting it is that an RPG is like life, where's the fun in being president, a lawyer, a doctor, a bum and a crack addict who steals from old ladys and can snipe headshots from 400 yards?....oh wait that would be amazing!..okay, lets try again

In life your never gonna be able to "max" everything so why would you want to be able to do it in an realistic RPG?

Realism, greatness, experience and pure enjoyment fades with God Mode turned on, simple.

How long did it take before Crackdown for the 360 got boring? yeh now weigh that out with Fallout 3.

If you want to beat a dead horse about DLC though, make a thread recommending that Beth dedicates a DLC to making a more detailed ending movie.

I liked the ending of the game, thought it was in line with the "getting screwed over" theme of other FO endings...but the movie needed more details about your decisions. In the end, you get the same reward for doing a speed run then you do helping/killing everyone in the side quests.

So i'd sign off on that one.

Indeed. The key letter here is the "R" in Rpg, meaning ROLE (Although often confused by some purists and PnP Rules lawyers as Roll). Its not a Do-Everything Possible game (DEPG)

I am currently on my way to trademark the term "Do-Everything Possible Game".
