Bethesda Softworks today announced that three downloadable content packs will be released in the coming months for Fallout: New Vegas. The three packs will be released simultaneously for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

Available on May 17th for Xbox 360 and PC and May 18th for PlayStation 3, Honest Hearts takes you on an expedition to the unspoiled wilderness of Utah's Zion National Park. Things go horribly wrong when your caravan is ambushed by a tribal raiding band. As you try to find a way back to the Mojave you become embroiled in a war between tribes and a conflict between a New Canaanite missionary and the mysterious Burned Man. The decisions you make will determine the fate of Zion.

This should be moved to the NV DLC discussion.

Anyway: Huh? Why isn't this on the main page? Why announced all at once? Kind of odd, yet sounds credible to some degree.

WOOT!

Actually they say Old World Blues is in June, Lonesome Road in July.

it's credible, there are plot synopsis, dates and prices. This had to come from Bethesda's marketing dept.

May, June and July... going to be busy busy busy :D

grrr, I cant wait to play Lonesome Road. Eager to play with Ulysses on a Legion playthrough

as for the others I was never one for DLC so not sure I'll pick them up. Or atleast, I should say that Fallout 3's addons were poorly implemented I feel and did nothing for the story

Sweet. Honest Hearts may/may not (probably won't) include New Canaan, but still, there's the Burned Man. So that's awesome enough on it's own.

I'm really interested in how Obsidian are trying to flesh out a more personal story for The Courier using the DLCs. Pretty cool stuff.

the facility in Old World Blues is very "area 51" ish. But not a boring old hangar base. Cos there is one of those already.

So if I wanted to play these new DLC packs with my current awesome charecter, I have to put off completing the battle at the dam for another.. 3 weeks or so?

This is all of course going by the assumption that the PSN will actually be back up by the time these DLCs become available..

That or make a save RIGHT b4 you fight at hoover dam (remember which save this is)... do your fight at hoover dam, but use that save when the DLCs come out.

@Niamh
I noticed that too, but that lab type facility doesn't say anything about aliens. I always liked alien representation in fallout it adds perspective.

Just one question: Will the DLC's be released on disc for the PC, like they did with the Oblivion and Fallout 3 DLC? If not, I won't be playing them until the inevitable "FO:NV Complete" will be in the bargain bin.

THANKYOU, for the clarification! :)
For ages I've been trying to find out if DLC could be played with a favorite charecter if that charecter had allready 'completed' the game Ie the battle at the dam.
As it is, I'm quite happy just to dike around in the wasteland and not bother with an epic battle that shouldnt really concern me anyway.. I'd just really like to play the DLC with this current charecter, it's quite a good one. (Eats Deatclaw ommelettes for breakfast lunch and tea)

Owob,

I'm sure eventually, there will be a 'Game of the Yea'r version for Fallout NV. Ie, full game with all the DLCs put onto one disk. but that may not be for quite some time yet, considering the DLC isnt even out yet?

It's unfortunate that my credit card can't purchase these DLCs until broken Boone is fixed in the next patch. He should have been fixed in this latest patch because they broke him in patch 1.2 a *very* long time ago. Still waiting, not playing...it's not ok for Boone to keep reholstering his weapon with an enemy in his face. A favorite companion was ruined and as someone else said to me, it's like they wanted to gimp him out. So anyway, just my my point of view. I haven't given up hope yet on the patch but I'm close and I'm not the only one waiting. :(

"an issue in the VDialogueCraigBooneSCRIPT. There is a section that monitors the player's reputation with the NCR and triggers a force greet if certain conditions are met. The code was causing Boone to evaluate his packages every five seconds even when not required. Two semicolons fixes it. On hindsight, it's pretty obvious what was happening. An EVP will cause an NPC to drop out of combat - holster their weapon. When run constantly, apparently it breaks head tracking in the follow packages also."

This is good news and bad news. Good news in that woohoo FONV DLC yea baby!! But bad in that i have The Witcher 2 and Fable 3 on pre order both of which are dropping on May 17th as well. I ordered TW2 from GoG and Fable 2 from Amazon so delivery will be staggered but add HH DLC well this periosd of time is going to be a bit overwhelming. Feast or famine as there has been very little new stuff worth playing since DM dropped. So i will get the DLC but i may not play it right away as i have 2 games i also have been dying to get my hands on, especially since Lionhead spent all the time and effort to tweak Fable 3 for the PC instead of the Bioware one size fits all approach they used for DA2, very disappointing.
