Because they have unequivocally took the design of Edoras from the LOTR movies and put it into Skyrim. This is a non debatable issue, it is plagiarism of the highest order, and Bethesda should face the full extent of the law.

Ethetan should have proposed a toggle for Whiterun similar to the one he proposes for Killcams. Those players who do not want Whiterun in their games can toggle the town off; those players who do want Whiterun in their games can toggle the town on. Problem solved.
