Bethesda turns to Bioware for lore.

The only thing truly missing in teh list was any questline completion after 'joining the Companions'. So I assume it will have something to do with them.

This is false. The College of Winterhold is the mages guild, the circle sounds like something like the knights of the nine... probably the speakers of The Voice.

I have to agree with him. I did a search on "The Circle" in The Imperial Library and this was the closest thing I've found which fits in with Skyrim.

Knightly Order Description by Outsiders Knightly Order Description by Members
The Knights of the Circle are the protectors and guardians of the Order of Arkay. They are as dedicated to Him as His priests are. The Knights of the Circle are the military arm of the Order of Arkay. It is our solemn duty to protect the Order and to fight their battles. Our devotion to the God Arkay and the Order are complete. Only those of exceptional fighting prowess and unswerving loyalty to the Order and the God Arkay are considered for inclusion in the Knights of the Circle.

I may have missed some lore from Oblivion so if this "circle" has been mentioned previously then okay.

But an achievement says something about joining the circle, I imagine this is the mages guild? So they 1:1 borrowed terminology from Dragon Age? :/ Not very imaginitive.

Edit: There's really no solid proof to prove they're copying/stealing lore from bioware and the circle or circle can be commonly related to many sources from games to mythology

also next time change your font its just going to piss people off

The College of Winterhold is the new Mages' Guild.

I'd guess the Circle has something to do with the witches' coven in Whiterun.

However, you do know that Bioware didn't invent the idea of a witches' circle, right?
Or even a "circle" of magic users/sorcerers/wizards.
This has been in folklore, legends, and mythology for thousands of years...
So, Bethesda isn't being derivative of Bioware, just of world mythology (as they should be).

The circle is actually part of the Champions. Once again, look at it's position in the achievements and how they are organized and you'll be like, "Oh wow that is obvious!".

There's no "Champions" In Skyrim, that achievement is apart of the Companions.

Apparently bioware invented the circle.
They invented all geometric shapes.

Bioware holds the right to any shape that doesn't have sharp, defined edges.

You also can't have the Amorphous Blob of Mages.
